Riley's pov
I take the kids home and tell Sam she's in charge. "Where are you going?" Zack asks tugging on my skirt. "I don't know. Places." I laugh. "Mom?" This one word caused me to smile. "Yes Sammie?" I say turning to the door. "Please don't repeat what Lucas did." Her voice was nearly silent. Walking over I kiss the top of her head. "Honey, what he did was selfish. Wrong. I know what you said to him and the woman. He deserved it. Okay? I won't do that. It's punishes everyone." Hugging her a voice says "Glad to know how you really feel." Lucas was standing in the doorway. "If you didn't want us to be upset then you shouldn't have done it." I snap, grabbing my bag I brush past him leaving the building. Wondering New York in Fall is magnificent. After an hour of walking I find a music store. Walking in a beat in playing through the store, intrigued I follow it. "Charle Gardner." I say leaning in the door frame. He stops. "Riley Mathews! How are you?" Charle sounds enthusiastic. "I've been better. What about you?" I respond, walking over. "I'm good. So, last I heard you were dating Lucas. How's it going between you two?" He's curious. "Uh, we broke up. I think? Honestly, I have no clue." Admitting it just stung. "Well, I hope it works out." I can tell he's lying. "Well there's one thing that no one, not even maya, knows." I say with a smirk. "And what's that?" Charlie asks. I take his pair of drum stick and go to another set. I play a quick riff. I get up and hand him one stick back. Turning around I start walking away. "Drummers are more my type." I Throw the stick back to him and walk out of the room, back to my apartment, where I didn't know yet that hell awaits me.
