Amanda's pov

Getting up to go to school was agony. My parents don't drive me to school and the bus doesn't come near my house. So,I walk to school,by myself each morning. It's only 5 miles. But, today the walk didn't take as long. I couldn't wait to see my brother and sister. Plus, I get to meet their family. And to top it all off its a weekend away from all the abuse. Nothing is better than that. But, I don't know how this will go. I mean Luke just got out of a coma. When I get to school I put my stuff away and sit at my table. "Hi Amanda!" My best friend Milly said. I just smiled. "What's wrong?" She asked concerned. "Nothing. Nothing. Really. I just didn't get much sleep. That's all." I look at the board and wait for class to start.

Luke's pov

I got discharged from the hospital around eight last night. So, my parents made me go to school half day so they could keep their eye on me. But, since they have to go to school today and they have classes until 4 which means they don't get home until 5, I have time to pick up Amanda with out them even knowing I didn't come straight home after school. I guess I'll just have to have Samantha say she picked Amanda up from school, but that won't be easy.

Samantha's pov

"No way!" I slam my locker shut.
"Please! Just say you picked her up. Mom didn't even want me to go to school today!" My brother begs.
"Fine. Just know, if you didn't just wake up from a coma the answer would be no." 
"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!" He walks away. At least Amanda is with us for the weekend. And I meant every word I said to Victoria last night. I don't ever want to see her again. She's a bitch.

Amanda's pov

5 minutes..........4 minutes..........3 minutes............2 minutes..........1 minute.....*bell chimes* and school is out! I grab my bag and run out into the quad. I look at everyone until I see a boy looking at his phone. I sneak over and jump on them. "What the fu..." He stopped himself there. "Hey kido." Luke says as he picks me up and puts me on his shoulders. I wince in pain but I don't let him see that. He starts to walk.

5 minutes later

We're at his apartment building and in his house a few minutes later. His mom is there. And his dad. And his siblings. I felt like an out cast. "Hi Amanda! I'm Riley. Luke's mom. We've heard so much about you!" She says with a smile. His dad then came and stood behind her and said hello and that his name was Lucas. They then introduce the twins and Alexis the baby. They seam nice. The twins are my age but aren't going to school. I don't understand this logic. Whatever. Riley took us to central park and let us play for a few hours. However, Sam and Luke kept whispering. Do they know?
