His chest moved easily beneath my head. We were still on the couch, covered by a thin blanket, and our limbs tangled together. Despite the awkward position, I was perfectly comfortable and content in the arms of my mate. His heart thudded beneath my ear, almost lulling me back to sleep. I absently moved my finger over his arm, where my hand was resting.

"Good morning beautiful," he whispered. I smiled. He was awake as well.

"Morning," I yawned. I think I'm going to skip my run this morning. Sparks lit up my skin wherever we made contact, and his fingers ran over skin, causing another outburst of sparks. Of course, I shivered from the contact and he laughed at my reaction. Two could play at that game. I reached my hand up towards his neck.

Slowly, I ran my fingers over the smooth skin of his neck. His eyes closed a bit before I felt his fingers tighten on my waist which only made me want to tease him some more. I trailed my fingers down his chest and over his shirt.

"Kass," he breathed out, pulling me up over to where I was straddling his waist. "You're going to have to stop," he whispered. I smirked and leaned down to his ear.

"Why?" I teased. "You can't handle it?" I could tell that my eyes were shifting color. I really had to start controlling this. I brushed my lips against his neck. My fingers were knotted in his soft shirt and I could tell he was having a hard time resisting my touch. I kept my lips on his neck, slowly building the kiss.

Eventually, his hands dug into my hips and he moved his lips on mine. I was surprised by his sudden outburst and resulted in ripping his shirt. Despite the tearing fabric and our morning breathe, he kept his lips glued to mine and deepened our kiss. I melted into his touch. My fingers explored his now exposed chest. It perfectly smooth. His chiseled muscles twitched beneath my hand.

"Really? Not on the good furniture!"

I pried my body from his, looking up to see Sarah standing in the doorway. My cheeks flared red. Both of us were left breathless from the kiss and our chests rose and fell in sync as she exited the living room cursing under her breathe.

Instantly, I was caught in another kiss. Erik pulled my face down to his and our lips met in another embrace. My hands found their way into his dark hair and his were already tangled in mine. His fingers pulled lightly on a few strands of hair, causing an involuntary sigh to escape my lips, only to be swallowed back into his kiss.

"Damn, you're too good at this," he commented, pulling away from my lips too soon.

"You're pretty good yourself," I commented. He smirked and gave me a short peck on my lips. "We should probably go into the kitchen though." His expression dropped a bit as I pushed myself off of him and placed my feet on the floor. I ran out of the living room before he could pull me back down.

I slowed to a walk in the hallway. My face hot and my body was still burning from his touch. I couldn't resist him. That was clear to me now. It would hurt me more than help me. I wasn't sure what I was going to do about Timber and being alpha, but Erik was not going to be leaving my life. I have accepted that fact. My trip to the mountains had given me time to think and that had been my conclusion.

I entered the kitchen and Sarah was already bustling with life. The stove was hot and skillets were sizzling. It smelt amazing.

"Kass! Are you up for a shopping trip?" Sarah turned to me from the stove. I swear, this women was always cooking. "We are having a bit of a feast tomorrow. Erik insists, because of mine and Lee's anniversary," she continued while stirring her pot. "It's a pack wide thing, formal attire. To an extent." I smiled! I loved parties, especially with others and not being hosted by overbearing alpha of a dad.
