"Oh, if it isn't the princess herself," the vile creature spat from his metal chair. I growled at Kade. He was one of Kurt's best friends and I had met him a few occasions at the academy. Another growl followed my own. Erik. "And her prince charming."

"Shut your muzzle, rouge," Blake seethed, from behind Kade and the metal chair. My wolf wanted to push forward and rip his throat out but I knew that would be useless. Despite his right hand status to Kurt, I couldn't figure out why he reeked of rogue. Now that I thought about it, so did Kurt, when we fought.

"Name," Erik ordered, as if it wasn't even a question. It wasn't. Kade simply stared at me.

"Answer him," I ordered using my own alpha tone. I knew my eyes had to be livid already, gold and filled with hatred.

"Kade," he answered, shifting in his chains. They must have been gilded in silver. "But she," he paused to look at me. "Already knew that." Erik looked at each other.

"He's Kurt's right hand. I met the leech at the academy," I answered curtly.

"Why so rude, love." I growled at him again and stepped closer, tempting his crude words.

"When did Kurt get kicked out of his pack?" I shot at him. No answer. Only a look of disdain. I stepped closer. "Why isn't he alpha anymore?" His eyes lit up at my accusation but he still didn't reply. I moved closer, letting my aura fill the space around until he was practically cowering in his shackles. "Why are the two of you associating with rogues?"

"Well, it took you long enough to figure out, sweetheart. But I think he wants to tell you about all that himself," I kept my gaze steady on him but let my fingers flex as my claws teetered on the edge of existence.

"He'll have to live long enough for that to happen. And so will you, but I don't think I can allow that," Erik boomed from behind me, taking a step forward. His hands were already shifted into that of a wolf and his eyes like pitch.

"Erik, no," I called out to him. He turned to me, my voice lightening his eyes. "He's too valuable. Kurt will want him back eventually. We just need to hold out till then. He's our leverage." I had stepped forward and placed my hand on his shoulder.

"Looks like she's got you by the balls, man," Kade chuckled. I threw a glare his way, unable to contain my anger. His face made contact with my fist before he had another chance to let out another snarky remark.

"Goddess, you're so hot when you do that," Erik laughed before pulling me towards him. Kade's face was already turning blue and I'm pretty sure his nose was broken. "Keep him here," Erik ordered Logan and Blake. "I want two guards at the door at all times and two in here," he referred to the concrete cell we were in. "No exceptions. Keep me updated and don't talk to him."

"Kurt is going to get what he wants from you, Luna," Kade called out. I didn't stop but his words chilled me. Not to mention he just referred to me as Luna, as if I was Erik's Luna. It didn't exactly bother me either.

Erik pulled me up and out of the prison and eventually into the light. It was times like these I was so glad I was an alpha. It was an adrenaline filled rush of nostalgia and excitement. Not quite violent, but not passive either. A good medium. I had just punched a full grown wolf in the face, and made him cower simply by my presence. Maybe the thought was a bit medieval, but power coursed through me, and I couldn't have felt any better.

"What are you thinking about?" Erik broke through my thoughts as we walked. I simply looked at him and he knew. "Stop it," he ordered, and stopped walking too. I spun on my heel to look at him.

"But what do you expect me to do?" I pleaded with him.

"He's not worth it," he answered, taking a step forward before I practically fell into his arms. He held me close and started talking again. "I will never let anything hurt you or my pack," he whispered into my hair. "Nobody, touches my..." he trailed off. I smiled.
