Cold air suffocated me and steel cuffs encircled my extremities. My back was against a metal table and I had yet to open my eyes. As much as I tried, my body was protesting against my wants, forcing me to float in darkness and listen to the silence around me.

Goddess, where was I? I shifted positions, though my muscles cried out in pain and fire licked through my veins. Screams fell from my mouth as I writhed on the metal bed, crying out for my mate who I was sure couldn't hear me. The last thing I remember was the party and the first signs of my heat. Erik had gone to bring me a water and some medicine before I blacked out at the edge of the garden. Another wave of heat over took my body as my every muscle tensed on response.

Eventually, I forced my eyes open, trailing my gaze over my worn body, my skin flushed and muscles still taunt. I was wearing only the bra and under ware that I had put on before the party. The room was dark and shadowy, apart from the blinding industrial light that hung precariously over my body and the cold metal table.

A steel door stood ominously in the wall, torturing me with the promise of an escape I knew I couldn't accomplish. Even if I could break my bonds and bash through the door, any degree of movement sent my heat into a frenzy. Without Erik here to help me through it, I knew I wouldn't make it five feet before falling to the floor in a fiery agony.

Slowly, I let a long breath, weighing my options in my head. I had none and though I was exhausted, my mind wondered everywhere and I was forced to sit in my own solace.

Where are we? My wolf echoed in my mind. 'I don't know. I figured you did,' I answered back. She huffed lightly. Obviously, she was as lost as I was. Another wave of fire rolled through my bones as I sat, shaking slightly and waiting for the pain to end. Until the door opened and a figure walked in.

I forgot about the pain. I forgot about my wolf. My mind was solely focused on the person whose face I could not see, though I had my suspicions of who the figure belonged to. He was a man, I could tell and he stayed in the shadows of the room as he closed the door and turned back to me.

Though I knew it was no use, I strained at the cuffs, slightly stretching their shape, but nowhere near breaking the rout metal that held me in place. Even my alpha strength was no match for forged steel.

"Why such a struggle, baby doll?" I stopped my attempts and stared up at Kurt. I should have known. Pain settled over my body, making me scream out into the concrete room. With him here, the screams sounded so much worse in my own ears. He reached out a hand, and paused for a moment before placed his fingers on my skin. More flames erupted wherever his made contact with my skin and I continued to scream and writhe where I was. "You can stop screaming." He was near my ear now. "I'm here now. And you've been asleep for a few days. "

I glared at him, letting a growl escape my lips, before snapping at his face. Kurt reeled back, sneering at me in disgust. "Don't you see," he growled at me. "I have the upper hand in this situation and there is no way you can charm your way out of this one, princess!" I pulled at my bonds again, only to cry out in vain frustration.

"That is if Erik doesn't rip your head off," I growled back. He let out a deep laugh, as if he knew I would say that.

"Kassidy," he breathed out, glaring down at me. "Erik is never going to find you. You're mine now." I left the words hanging in the air as he walked back through the door he originally come through. Howls of frustration and anger ripped through my throat. I prayed that someone would hear me. Come rescue me, but nothing seemed to work. "I will be back later," he called back to me. "I'm going to take this away from you, the same way you took my pack away from me." I was utterly confused at his words but my mind flitted away from his threats as the door closed behind him.
