Blind (Discontinued)

One fine evening, as the sun was going down, two boys, about 12 years of age, could be seen walking home from some last minute target practice, one with bright yellow hair and smiling blue eyes, the other with dark raven hair accompanied by black eyes. Naruto, the blond one, was wearing a black T-shirt with the red Uzumaki symbol on both shoulders, black fingerless gloves, blue sweat pants, and black ninja sandals, while Sasuke, the one with the raven hair, wore a black stiff necked shirt with the Uchiha symbol on the back, white capris, and had white bandages on both legs from the knees down to his black ninja sandals. Basically, they both liked black.

Ever since the two were little, they had practically been brothers, almost inseparable. When he was still a newborn, Naruto had been taken care of by Sasuke's family, even after he moved into his own apartment at the young age of four. Shortly after Naruto's fifth birthday, though, almost the entire Uchiha clan was murdered by Itachi, Sasuke's older brother, leaving Sasuke an orphan like Naruto. Shortly after the indecent, Sasuke moved in with Naruto for a few years, until they got into The Academy, when Sasuke moved into the apartment just a few doors down from Naruto, making it easy for the two of them to keep an eye on each other.

On their way home, Naruto was busy looking at his shuriken, looking to see if there was any damage to them, trying to come up with an excuse as to why he had lost their little target practice contest, when suddenly he tripped over something, half dropping the shuriken and half throwing them as he tried to catch himself as he fell face first to the ground. Soon, a scream of pain could be heard throughout the entire village. You see, as Naruto fell and dropped/threw the shuriken that were in his hands, some just fell to the ground while others landed in a much more dangerous way: stuck in the dirt like they had been thrown there. When Naruto got his hands under him, they landed on the ones that were just laying there, effectively causing his hands to slip out from under him, allowing him to painfully land on the ones that looked as if they had been thrown.

"NARUTO!!!" Sasuke yelled in panic as Naruto continued to scream in pain. He'd managed to kinda sit up, revealing blood mixed with dirt all over Naruto, most of the blood coming from what looked like his eyes. "NARUTO, HOLD ON!" Sasuke practically screamed, looking frantically for someone to help, which, to his horror, there wasn't. Thinking fast, he quickly unwrapped the bandages on his right leg and tied them around Naruto's eyes before unwrapping his other leg to tie Naruto's hands to his sides so he couldn't claw at his eyes, as they obviously burned. He then picked up the thrashing Naruto and made his way to the leaf hospital. 'Please let Naruto be okay! Please don't die!' thought Sasuke as he struggled to keep a hold of Naruto.

<TWO DAYS LATER>

Sasuke sat next to Naruto's hospital bed with bags under his eyes. He hadn't slept much in the past two days, ever since Naruto's accident. Naruto hadn't woken up since then, which made him worried. This was his little brother. The only family he had left, as far as he was concerned. He didn't know what he would do if something bad happened to him. He looked at the clean bandages on Naruto's eyes. 'Yeah. Right. Something bad HAS happened.' He thought sadly.

"Come on, Naruto. Just wake up already. I need you." Sasuke said as his eyes started to droop. "Please..." he whispered as he drifted off to sleep.

<Naruto's mindscape>

Naruto lay at the foot of a towering gate with a seal on it. He looked up in a daze, not sure where he was exactly.

"Hey, kit. Get up." a voice rumbled. Naruto snapped out of his daze and looked around, finally settling on looking into what was behind the humongous gate.
