"What do you mean, the Nine Tailed Fox never died? Are you saying the history books are wrong?" Sasuke asked accusingly.
"Yes, that's sort of what I'm saying. 13 years ago, today, Lord Fourth went to battle against the Fox, that part is true, but what happened to the Fox isn't. Minato didn't kill the Nine Tails, he split it into two parts and sealed both of them away, one into himself and the other into a newborn baby. If you want to know who's baby, you'll have to ask him, seeing how he already knows," Hiruzin explained.
"Who's the baby? He must be about Naruto's age... Now... Naruto?! It was you?!" Takumi exclaimed incredulously as he looked at the blond.
Naruto rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Hehe... You got me!"
"And just how long have you known?" Kakashi asked
"Since two days after my accident, the day I woke up. I met Kurama before I woke up. We talked and that's when I found out about my eyes, or, at the time, lack thereof. Kurama told me he could help me, but the seal was in the way. I was just going to destroy the seal, but Kurama advised against it, telling me we should make a contract before I get rid of the seal. So he helped me work out a good contact and told me exactly what to do once we had it all figured out, and now he isn't restricted by a seal but by me personally. That seal no longer exists," Naruto said, his voice taking on the characteristics of someone much more intelligent than they appeared at first glance.
Everyone started at Naruto, wondering where the carefree birthday boy had disappeared to. Even though the four ANBU didn't really know the Jinchuriki very well, they had been around him enough to know that his usual attitude was more childish, for lack of a better word.
"Naruto... Who are you're parents?" Sasuke asked slowly.
Naruto looked him dead in the eyes and replied, "Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, the Yellow Flash and the Red Hot Habanero."
The room filled with various expressions of shock, from gasps of disbelief and 'you've got to be kidding's to eyebrows shooting up and mouths hitting the floor. The only one who want affected by this development was the Hokage, who'd already known about it.
"Lord Hokage, is this true?" Tenzo asked in midst of the mini uproar.
The Hokage just nodded. "Yes, what Naruto said is the truth."
"How? No one ever said anything about the Fourth having a son!" Keisuke said disbelievingly.
"Calm down, Keisuke. We all knew that Kushina was pregnant. Though we never knew the due date, this is entirely possible," Kakashi stated.
"But why was this kept? Everyone who knew she was pregnant thought the baby died with her! If people had known-"
"Naruto's life would have been in danger and so would the people of the Leaf. Keep in mind that both Minato and Kushina had powerful enemies that would have loved nothing more than to kill Naruto just because of who his parents are, which would have meant an attack on the village. The best thing for everyone was to not tell anyone who Naruto's parents were," Ryosuke interrupted.
"Again, Ryosuke is right, Keisuke. Lord Third did the right thing," Kakashi said, massaging the bridge his nose.
"But not everyone was kept in the dark. My parents knew, didn't they. Why else would they have agreed to help raise Naruto in the first place?" Sasuke asked.
"Gee, thanks," muttered a certain blond.
"You know what I mean!"
Naruto just grinned and stuck out his tongue.
'Of course I do, silly!' Naruto told him mentally.
Sasuke scowled, but it was good naturedly.
"To answer your question, Sasuke, that is correct."
Sasuke turned back to the Hokage. "Did anyone else from my clan know?"
Hiruzen shook his head. "There's a slight possibility Itachi did, but it was never confirmed."
The silence was deafening, but thankfully Takumi had the sense to break it quickly before it got awkward.
"So... Anything else we should know while we're at it?" Takumi asked no one in particular, yet to everyone in the room.
There was another small silence that transpired, although this time it wasn't so silent for the young Jinchuriki and the last Uchiha.
'Are you an idiot? Why would we reveal this?' Sasuke asked Naruto mentally.
'Because it could help us later on, and how can we hope to trust our comrades if we're keeping secrets from them? Did you forget the bombshell the Old Man and I just dropped? It was all in the name of building trust between us!'
'Oh, so you don't trust me?'
'No, that's not it!'
'Then what is it?!'
'I was just waiting for the right time! Idiot! I just didn't know when that was. And then this opportunity came along and I couldn't WAIT to tell you, but I had to wait to tell the others, too. Sasuke, you don't know how hard it was too keep it from you! You're like my brother and... And it felt like I was... Lying to you... I... I'm sorry, Sasuke...' Naruto said, crying as he hung his head. The whole time during their argument, the two of them had been glaring at each other, until Naruto finally said his feelings, when he'd started to tear up and hung his head, hoping to hide the tears.
Everyone watched in confusion as the intense staring contest took a turn for the weird. Why was Naruto suddenly crying?
Aaaannd it just got weirder.
Sasuke had gone to the now crying blond and hugged him. "No, I'm sorry, Naruto..." Sasuke whispered into Naruto's ear as... A tear slid down Sasuke's face? What was going on?!
The others stared at the two as Sasuke silently (A/N And frankly out of characterly... That isn't a word is it...) held the blond in a tight embrace. 'Well, then... This is getting awkward...' Kakashi thought to himself. Holding a fist up to his mouth, Kakashi gave a soft cough to catch the attention of the two causing the awkward tension between everyone.
And it worked. When Sasuke heard the cough, he remembered their current situation and quickly jerked out of the hug, while the two of them wiped the their eyes and regained their composer.
"Hehe, sorry about that..." Naruto said sheepishly while rubbing the back of his head.
Kakashi rose his eyebrow with his arms crossed against his chest. "Care to explain yourselves?"
"Wow, Naruto, Sasuke... I didn't know you swung THAT way..." Takumi said, causing the two of them to blush brightly.
"I-IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!" Naruto stammered.
"AT ALL!" Sasuke added.
"HE'S LIKE MY BROTHER, AND THAT'S ALL!" they loudly informed them at the same time. Thank goodness for that soundproofing Jutsu, huh?

Yo! Nice "seeing" y'all again! Let me just make this clear for any of you who aren't sure about the relationship between Naruto and Sasuke after this chapter (gomen). They're just brothers like they should be (in my own opinion). If you're looking for one of those hidden boyxboy fanfics, well, you're sore out of luck. If that's what you want, go look somewhere else.
But anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
