Naruto stood at the gate to the Namikaze-Uzumaki compound with his teammates, the Hokage, and Itachi. They had already been to the Uchiha compound and discussed some things about what Sasuke should expect now that he is the head of his clan, and now they were at Naruto's family compound. Interestingly enough, the Uchiha and Namikaze-Uzumaki compounds were really close to each other. In fact, the only thing separating the two compounds was the Takahashi compound.
Naruto had taken his blindfold off after they got there due to no one else being anywhere near them, and now was just standing there in shock. "Whoa," was all that he could say as he looked at the compound that he now called home.
There were three buildings that could be seen from the gate due to their varying heights, and they all had a similar design: functional yet beautiful. The two closest houses looked almost identical in shape and size, even their placement in the yard was practically mirrored, but the third was bigger, taller, and over all a grand house, which meant it was most likely the main house.
The grounds that could be seen were beautiful, and even though Naruto couldn't see color, even the flowers were gorgeous. There were fully grown trees growing sporadically around the grounds with bushes of berries and more flowers lining paths, houses, and the edges of a variety of gardens.
Behind the main house, there was more space and even more trees, though not quite as many flowers. There were many training grounds as well as a space that was very obviously for a vegetable garden, and many of the trees were either fruit trees or shade trees, though there were plenty of trees that Naruto could have sworn were chakra trees. Why, he had no idea, but evidently his parents either really liked them or had had some need for them. It didn't matter though, because they were actually rather pretty.
Unlike most of the compounds in the Leaf that focused on providing housing and commodities for the members of the clan, the Namikaze-Uzumaki estate focused on beauty and potential growth. Even with all the gardens, groves of trees, and training grounds, it was obvious that there was space for more houses to be built if the need arose.
Simply put, the compound was big, beautiful, and had plenty of room to expand. It was perfect.
"Naruto, I'll most likely be spending a lot of time here. This place is amazing!" Takumi exclaimed with wide eyes and an amazed grin on his face.
"I agree, it is spectacular," Sai agreed. 'I want to paint it,' he thought to himself.
Hiruzen led the group on a little tour around the grounds and told them a little more about the compound.
"After Minato and Kushina's deaths fifteen years ago, the only people allowed onto these grounds were the groundskeepers, Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha, and Bunta Takahashi. After the massacre, the only ones who came were the groundskeepers and Bunta, although I've visited from time to time," Hiruzen explained.
"No one can get inside the houses due to the blood seals on all the doors and windows, but the groundskeepers have access to the sheds hidden in various places around the grounds," the old man continued.
"Blood seals? Then I should be able to get in easily," Naruto beamed in glee.
The aged Hokage smiled. "Well, I'll leave you all here to explore on your own. I have some paperwork to fill out and the next Hokage to talk to before tonight. Have fun!"
Itachi watched Hiruzen disappear behind some foliage and turned to address Sasuke and his friends. "I'll be going, too. I have some things I need to do back at the compound," he said before smiling slightly at his brother's pout. "Don't worry, Sasuke, I won't be going far, and I'll stay out of trouble. You and your friends have fun exploring Naruto's new home." At that, Itachi Uchiha walked away.
