"Takumi?" Sasuke exclaimed, both confused and surprised but his voice only slightly betraying him.
"H-hey Sasuke," Takumi stuttered, rubbing the back of his neck.
"This is Takumi?" Naruto asked, slightly surprised.
"Yeah, this is Takumi," Sasuke confirmed, still looking at Takumi. "Now, explain why you were following us."
"That's, ah... Well, I, uh... Heh heh..." After stammering for a bit, Takumi finally answered Sasuke's question.
"So. You were following us because you wanted to know how I trained?" Sasuke asked to make sure he understood. Takumi nodded.
"Do you trust him?" Naruto asked Sasuke mentally.
"Yes. With my life," was Sasuke's rather quick reply.
"Then so will I. I say let's tell him, or at least let him watch while we train."
"You sure?"
"Yeah. He doesn't seem like an untrustworthy person. Plus, if you trust him, that's good enough for me."
"Fair enough."
"Takumi, do you promise to keep everything you see and hear here a secret unless we say otherwise?"
"Of course. I'd never betray someones trust."
Sasuke nodded and Naruto smiled at Takumi, which seemed a little creepy because it was almost like Naruto could see right where Takumi was at all times, despite having had a blindfold on the entire time.
"Good. Because starting now, you'll be the only other person besides Sasuke and I to know about any of this," Naruto said, reaching behind his head to untie his new blindfold, keeping his eyes closed.
Takumi gasped. "What... Happened?!" Takumi breathed, staring at Naruto's eyes is shock and horror. When the blindfold was on, you couldn't really see any evidence of Naruto's accident, but once it was off, you could see the simi-fresh scars of where the shurikan had stabbed deep into Naruto's eyes, practically gouging them out. Honestly, that was all Takumi expected them to show him because there was no way on earth or in heaven or anywhere else that Naruto still had his eyes, let alone eyesight. So when Naruto slowly started opening his eyes, Takumi almost cringed in anticipation, but could only gape at what he saw.
"How... Your eyes... There's no way... Those scars... What is going on?!" Takumi exclaimed that last part rather loudly. What he saw confused him greatly. No fear, not really. Just confusion. Naruto still had eyes. What's more, he seemed to actually be able to see with them, almost as if nothing ever happened to them.
Naruto and Sasuke gave Takumi the run down, everything from the accident five days before the graduation exam, to that morning when Team 7 got back from the Land of Waves. Well, everything except Kurama, of course. Naruto left that juicy tidbit out every time he explained his situation to someone, although this was only his second time explaining it at all.
When they were done, Takumi was flabbergasted. What they'd told him was practically impossible, and yet he could see the proof right in front of him. "So, let me get this straight. Five days before the genin exams you had an... Accident, and ended up blind. After a while, you slowly started being able to... Detect faint outlines of people and things, almost like very poor eyesight, so you stated training it on your own when no one was around, but got caught by the half asleep Sasuke. After you explained to him a much shorter version of what you just told me, he decided to help you in your training whenever he could, although thanks to the latest mission, you two haven't seen each other in about two months and you surprised Sasuke yet again today with the state your eyes have recovered to, am I right?"
