Naruto and Jiraiya had finally broken the hug and stopped the crying. Much to the bookstores, and fans, dismay, Jiraiya had closed the signing over. The two had done their ritual of the popsicle, bringing back so many memories. They sat inside the cafe/ice cream shop while they caught up, speaking in Japanese to ensure no one understood.
"I'm not against it all, but how the heck are you here?" Naruto asked, truly curious. Jiraiya simply chuckled.
"Well, I called in some favors. You and I are the only true sages, being completely in tune with nature. From that, I compromised with Kami into reincarnating me."
"That....sounds like one hell of a bs reason. What was the compromise?" Naruto asked as he ate his popsicle.
"Well, I was born as a part of the last generation. I'm not as young as you, but at the same time I'm part of this times people. Meaning I don't have any chakra and with what happened to Mt. Myōboku, sage mode is out of the question for me."
At that, Naruto gave his best 'oh really' face. "What the hell is with that face gaki?!" Jiraiya asked, a bit put off by the grin. Naruto maintained that grin as red eyeshadow began to slowly form and his eyes turned from blue to yellow with horizontal bars as pupils.
"So ya can't go sage huh?" He asked, still holding the grin. Jiraiya merely stared at him. Then took Naruto's popsicle and dropped it in the garbage.
"Gah! What the hell Pervy-Sage?! Gosh, so spiteful." Naruto said chuckling. Both turned their heads as they saw a beauty wearing a green dress pass.
"Oh come on Steve! Sam and Ben always bond together! Why can't we?!"
"For one, they're brothers. Two, last time I tried to hang out with you, your dad thought I was your boyfriend and sent goons after me." Steve said. Naruto didn't know who he was, but he recognized the girl as Valerie Verde from Sam's team if he remembered correctly.
The other guy, Steve, was Caucasian and a blonde, his hair gelled back. He looked to be about 5'9 and wore a black long sleeved shirt with pieces of golden armor at the chest, back, shoulders and elbows. He wore jeans that were baggy enough to be flexible, but slim enough to not get in the way, he had gold hand wraps on, and finally had black boots. He was Steve Au, the A in team KAFV.
"Oh come on! It's so boring doing nothing!" She complained.
"Pick up a hobby. Ben has that book, Sam has...whatever he does when he sneaks out and I train." He said as he got to the cashier. "One iced coffee, extra cream and sugar please." He ordered.
"Ooooo, and a scoop of that please!" Valerie said as she pointed at an ice cream flavor. The cashier awkwardly looked at Steve, who sighed and just nodded.
"Damn gaki. I would tell you to pursue, but you did pretty good picking up that girl back at the shop. And she's a Faunus too."
"Uhhhh...that's not my girlfriend. My girlfriend was the one in white." Naruto corrected him. Jiraiya froze as he remembered who Naruto was talking about. Jiraiya then put his hand on Naruto's shoulder.
"Pursue that one in the green. Go now." He said in a serious voice.
"Pervy-Sage what the he-"
"Oh hey! I know you!" Valerie suddenly yelled out, looking at Naruto.
"Inside voices Valerie." Steve said as he turned to who she was talking to. It was then though, that his phone went off with an alert, then Valerie's. "Valerie."
"I know." She said as she grabbed her ice cream, eating it in one go and ran out the store. Steve put the lien down to pay and grabbed the ice coffee and ran.
