Anniversary

It was finally our anniversary and i was nervous as hell.

Mar and I were dressed up looking real fly.

I had on black Stacy Adams suit pants, a long sleeve Burgundy collared button down shirt, black vest and leather shoes. I was wearing my glasses. My twist braids in a ponytail.

Mar had on a Sexy black dress with her Burgundy heels her hair up in a cute style.

I was in the bathroom, had splashed some water on my face. Taking deep breaths.
The door opened

"There you are." Khali smirk as he walked in with Jamie.

They saw I was nervous.

"You're making the right decision that's why you're nervous." My twin said

"You can do it." Jamie smirk.

I nod my head and said "I'm ready I'm ready."

I head to the door, Jamie stopped me as he said "wait here's some lotion, looking kinda ashy."

We laughed, I rubbed some on my face and hands. We went back to the party. I found Mar walked on over to her. She smiled at me. I smiled back.

Mar held the mic, as we stood center facing our family and friends. Mar said some words than she hand me the mic.

"We've been together for two beautiful years...this woman this beautiful Ms I can do bad all by myself woman, who caught my eye and heart." I smirk, I began rambling.

"You rambling, sis." Ralph smirk.

We all laughed softly, I looked at Mar as I stood facing her.

"What I'm trying to say, love." I got down on one knee. Mar gasps as her eyes widen. I took out the box opened it as I looked up at Mar

"Maria Evelyn Davids, will you marry me?"

Mar had her hands over her mouth tears coming down her face. She nod her head as she ans "yes."

"Yes?" I said.

Mar moved her hands and smile "yes baby I will marry you."

I smiled all big, I slid the ring on her finger, stood up and hugged her. Everyone began cheering and clapping. I spun Mar around we kissed saying I love you and all.
We looked at each other. Smiling all big.

"Got one more surprise." I smiled as I looked behind her. She turned around and gasp as she saw her parents and mom wheeling a cart with a big cake that says "congratulations Mary and Kournell."

"Congrats baby." Ms.Helen smiled as she hug Mar. Joe hugged her.

"Y'all knew Koy was gonna propose?" Mar asked

"Of course, came and asked for our blessings." Joe smile.

Mar turned and looked at me, I said "family means so much to you, wouldn't been right if I didn't ask." I said.

"I love you so much Koy." Mar said as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

"I love you more Mar."  I said as we kissed.

We slowed danced to one of our songs.
