What's happening?

10 months later

For the past two weeks, Benji gotten distant from us. We've been trying to talk to him get through him but he won't talk to us. just says he's fine. and i know he's lying something is wrong and he won't talk to me or Mar.

One day

Mar and i gotten a call from his school. I didn't answer the call because i was stuck in a big meeting at work. so the school called Mar. Mar was in her office when her cell went off, she saw it was Benji's school and quickly answer the call.

"hello?" Mar ans

"Maria?...it's Selena." Ms.Paulina said, the new principle of the middle school Benji goes to.

"hey, Sel...what's up?" Mar asked

"i'm calling to tell you that Benji got in trouble today?" she ans

"what, what happened?" Mar ask

"told his teacher off said some things that were hurtful, and got into a fight with a boy in class, believe me i was just as shock when they brought him into my office...his teachers says he's been weird for past few days." She said

"i know, we've been trying to get through him, he's at that stage where he doesn't talk much." Mar sigh deeply.

"i hear you, i had put him in detention he has in school suspension tomorrow also him and the other boy." she said

"okay, i understand that thank you for calling and telling me this." Mar said

"no problem, and keep trying, whatever it is he's fighting it he just needs someone to keep pushing him to talk." Selena said

"yea, thanks." Mar said. they hung up. she sigh deeply and than sent me a message telling me to call her as soon as i get her message.

30 minutes later

i called Mar

"hey, what's going on?" i ask

Mar begin telling me what happened with Benji. i sigh deeply.

"what is going on with our son?" Mar ask

"i don't know, bae, i don't know just wish he talk to us." i said

"i'ma see if i can get through him later when he comes, when will you'll be home." she said

"by 8 the latest." i ans

"okay, see you than, i love you." she said

"i love you too." i said we hung up.

later after school

Mar was outside, getting ready to do bus duty, when she saw the school bus pulled up across the street. Benji and his friends got off and begin making their way across the street.

Benji had his hood up, along with his headphones on. he said bye to his friends and walked to Mar's truck. walked to the driver's door, punched in the code to unlock the door. he opened it and unlock the door, walked around and got in the front seat after putting his bag in the back.

Mar stared at him for a moment than walked on over to three of his closest friends.

"hey yall." Mar said

"hey, Ms.Maria." they said

"the fight, what happened?" Mar asked

K'ion begin telling her how the fight started.

"yall know why he's acting this way?" Mar asked

they shook their heads no

"all i know is that he started tripping hard when he came back from Smoke's, he wouldn't tell us or me about it." Laurent his bestest friend said.
