Becoming/End

A year and half later

Today's the big day for our son Benji. he's graduating high school. we all got dressed and head on out to the theater where they was having the ceremony.

We all sat there watching getting super restless cause of the people speaking on the stage. than it was finally time for the kids to receive their diplomas. We smiled all big as Benji walked up gotten his, he looked at us and gave us thumbs up.

then they were announced high school graduates, we all stood up cheering clapping as they begin walking on out.

We was outside in the parking lot waiting when we saw Benji run up to us. he came and hugged me and Mar. we held him tight in our arms.

"thank you...thank you for everything, for putting up with my crazy self." Benji smiled as he stared at us.

Mar place her hand on his cheeks, she was teary hell we all were.

"you're still my Beni baby you know that?" Mar smile

"forever and ever, mama." Benji smile he kissed her cheek hugging her.

Prince was standing behind his godfather Jamie crying. he was sad. Benji than begin looking around for his baby brother. then he looked behind Jamie saw him crying.
he walked on over and kneel down

"ay, why you crying...you supposed to be happy for me." Benji ask

"i am, just sad you leaving me." Prince sniff, still standing behind Jamie.

"what...come here." Benji said holding out his hand. Prince came from behind Jamie. Benji stared into Prince's eyes.

"I'm always and forever gonna be your brother, i'm not really leaving you i'm always gonna be there for you always I'm one call away i will be there for you in a quickie." Benji said, he wipe Prince's tears

"besides, you're my wingman...i'm gonna need yo help with all the pretty ladies down at campus." Benji smirk. Prince laughed

"i love you, Prince Ahmad."

"i love you too, bee."

we smiled as they did their handshake and hugged each other. we took a family picture and left on out. went on over to mom's for the party.
we changed clothes and begin partying having a good time and all.

While we was having a good time, Mar looked at Benji and saw him frozen staring at something. she turned and gasps softly as she saw who her son staring at.

"Koy." Mar softly said. i walked up to her looked to where she was staring. there i saw Smoke, Benji's father. i walked on over to Benji Mar followed. i placed my hand on his shoulder

"i invited him." i said, Mar and Benji looked at me.

"he's still your father, Benji." i said. felt him shaking a bit as he lowered his head a bit. i raised it up have him look into my eyes

"i wouldn't have him here if he wasn't okay." i said, insuring him. he nod his head. took a deep breath and walk towards his father.

Mar and i watched, Benji walked up to his father stood in front of him. saw his father look smaller than his normal buffy self.
they both stood straight staring at each other breathing a little heavy.

"Proud of you, Benji...you became a fine young man." smoke said as he held out his hand.

"thanks...thank you." Benji said as he shook his father's hand. they held on. than they hugged each other. i smiled softly at them. we let them talk and all.

Smoke came up to us, stared at me

"thank you, for everything...for not giving up on me." he said

"you still our family, Smoke." i said

Later at night

Mar and i were laying up in our bed. the boys were out cold for night. i was playing around on my cell, Mar sat up and stared at me. i felt her eyes burning me.

"yes, love?" i ask still looking down at my cell. she grabbed my cell and place her hand on my chin and raised my head up

"talk to me." she said i sigh deeply

"When aunt had me alone in the room with her, she knew there was gonna be a time Smoke was gonna fall back to the drugs cause she won't be around to keep him from doing so, so she made me promise to help him never give up on him...show him why he should stay clean." i took a deep breath

"when Benji first told us, i got soo angry cause he did it in front of our son....two days later i went to get Smoke and took him to a private rehab center since thing i've been checking on him every two months...been clean since than." i looked at Mar

"i had him come, cause now that Benji's 18 he can decide rather or not if he wants to see Smoke." i finished.

"i understand why you did this...you never break your promises no matter what." Mar said, i nod my head.

"we've raised a good young man." Mar smile

"yep, i'm proud of us." i smile. we lean towards each other and french kissed.

Mar lean on me holding me, we was talking softly when our door opened. we looked up saw it was Benji and Prince.

"hey." they both said

"hey, yall alright." Mar ask

"uh, not really." Prince ans

"what's wrong?" i ask

"can we lay with youuu." Prince smile

"yea, you know we still mama's boys." Benji smirk. Mar and i laughed softly

"come here, babies." Mar smile.

they came in climb in the bed and laid up between Mar and i. we cuddled up together.

"just don't tell the homies about this." Benji said

"haha got cha." i smirk.

we laid up talking til we fell asleep. our family together forever.
