Calling For Da Ring

The past few weeks I've been in  deep thoughts about Mar and I.

I was in my office, I had grabbed my cell and called my grandfather.

"Hola Nina." He answer

"Hola papa, how are you?" I said as I smile.

"Ah, I'm doing good being a cool papa." He ans, we chuckled

"I'm sorry I didn't fly up when you was sick...how you feeling?" He cont

"It's okay, and I'm feeling much better now." I ans.

"That's good, how that beautiful gyal of yours doing?" He asked

"Haha, she doing very good misses you tho." I said.

"Talk to me, Nina I can sense it." He said.

I exhale deeply and ask "you remember when you said you will give me Gran's ring, if I found my true key to my heart?"

"Yes, I remember." He said smiling through the phone.

"I found my true key, papa...I want to ask Mar to marry me." I said smiling

"When you wanna propose?" He asked.

"Friday at our anniversary party." I answer

"I will be there Wednesday with the ring." He said.

"Thanks papa." I smiled. We talked for a lil longer than hang up.

I smiled all big, chuckled to myself and began making some phone calls.

After work I came home saw Mar laying up on the couch watching tv. I put my stuff up walked on over to her

"Hey love." I smiled

"Hey Koy." She smiled. We kissed, I climbed on the couch and laid beside her.

"How was your day?" She asked

"Slow but good, how bout you." I said.

"Good, oh til I saw this lil girl." Mar said she grabbed her cell, pulled up a picture and showed it to me.

"Whaaa, the hell they do to that baby's hair?" I chuckled.

"Scared me when I saw her, I wanted to go up to her and jus do her hair jus ohhh." Mar said

"Haha she look like a mini coolio." I said. We both was rolling.

Wednesday

I rode on out to the air strip, I was riding in a stretch phantom. I lean against the side as the jet came to a complete stop. The door opened, and there was Emilio Estes my grandfather.

He had on his tan pants collared shirt and leather shoes. Had his cane in his hand. He really don't need it but likes to have it. He was a very powerful hustler back in the days. He was the head OG boss of bosses. Even tho he's not in the game anymore he's still untouchable. Got mad connections all over the place.

Grandpa walked up to me, we smiled as we hugged each other. We got in the phantom and rode on out. He handed me the ring box. I opened it and smiled.

"Gotten it cleaned and polished for ya." He smiled.

"It's still so beautiful thank you papa...she's gonna love it." I smiled as I looked at him.

"Your welcome, I'm proud of you grown up a lot over the years...I know yo grandmama looking down smiling." He smiled

"Just wish she met Mar, she would've loved her." I said, thinking about my Nana.

"Me too." He said.
I stared at the ring.

"One thing tho." Papa asked

"What?"

"Think you can get yo crazy brothers to settle down?" He smirk. We laughed

"Khali, prob...Ralph not so sure about him." I smirk.

We got to the dragon house, I got in my car and drove on out. There was one important stop I needed to make.

Couple minutes later

I pulled in the driveway of Mar's parents house. Got out and walked up to the door, rang the door bell.

"Sexy mocha." Ms.Helen smiled as she saw me.

"Haha hey ms.Helen." I smirk.
She Let me in, walked to the  kitchen saw Joseph. We hugged and sat down at the table.

"What we owe of this visit?" Joe ask

"There's something I would like to ask you two." I ans.

"Ask away." Joe said.

"May I have y'alls blessings in me asking Mar her hand in marriage?" I asked.

They smiled "yes...of course."

"Bout damn time girl." Ms.Helen smirk. I chuckled softly

"Got a ring?" She asked
I took the ring box out opened it and show it to them.

"It's beautiful." She Smiled.

"Thanks it was my grandmother's." I smiled

"She gonna love it." Joe said.
We talked, told them what I wanted to do.

I was so happy I gotten their blessings.
