"Come on" Rick said, his knee bounced up and down.
"Ladies and gentlemen welcome to New York." The captain said and Rick smiled.
"Finally!"
It had been 2 weeks since he saw Kate.
Now he wouldn't have anymore book tours@For a long time.
An hour later Rick was in a cab on his way to the loft.
He looked at the jewelry box in his hands.
He thought Kate deserved a gift, she had been working so hard lately with the police academy.
As soon as he was home he opened the door and walked in, dropping his suitcase.
"Kate?" He called out but no answer.
He took his phone and powered it on, he had it turned off during the flight.
When he opened his messages he gasped.
It was from his mother, Johanna, Lanie, and it was all the same!
(RIck! When you get home come straight to the hospital! Kate went into labor!)
LABOR! He yelled inside his head.
Then he began talking out loud.
"She's only 8 months!"
Before he knew it he was out of the loft.
He ran down to the garage and got the valet to bring the ferrari around.
If this didn't get him there fast he didn't know what else.
10 minutes later he was running into the hospital.
"Richard!"
He spotted his mother and ran over.
"Mother! Kate, where is she! Is she ok?!"
He asked quickly making Martha place her hands on his face.
"Darling calm down, take a deep breath." Martha said calmly.
Rick nodded and took a deep breath.
