Chap 17-

"PLEASE!" Rick whined.

Kate laughed and rolled over in bed.

"Nope."

Rick gave a whine and sighed.

Kate had been planning a surprise for their last day on the honeymoon.

He kept trying to get her to budge but she wouldn't.

Kate rolled over so she was facing him.

"Cheer up You'll know today!"

"I know, I know."

He stuck his tongue out.

Kate rolled her eyes and playfully smacked him.

"Weirdo."

"You married me didn't you?"

"Sometimes I wonder why!" She joked.

He rolled his eyes and kissed her.

"Oh so many reasons."

Kate laughed and snuggled into him, she loved snuggling with him.

He was always so warm and he always made her feel safe.

"Rick."

"Hmm."

"I want to be a cop."

Rick immediately sat up with a worried expression.

"What?!"

"I just, ever since I almost lost you I've wanted to do something helpful!"

"But being a cop is so..so dangerous!"

"Every job is dangerous!"

"Mine isn't."

"It could be, what if you were signing books and some crazy fan came in and shot you?"

"Ok, point taken."

Kate laughed and kissed his head.

"I'm not saying right away,

I want to have at least a year as just being your wife.

And we still have a few more years of college left.

I'm only 20. But.. next year I'm gonna join the academy."

Rick sighed and nodded.

"Alright but Kate.."

"Hmm?"

"Will you still want kids?"

"Of course! I've always wanted kids with you! This isn't going to stop anything."

"I trust you and I'll be with you every step of the way."

"I love you."

She smiled and kissed him.

"You better."

"Don't worry." She smiled and kissed him harder.
