Chapter 2: Captain America

"You slashed his tires?! Alexa! You're crazy!" Why?! Why? Why me?

"It's between him and me! I know you're my friend-"

"Best friend!"

"Same thing, whatever, as I was saying- I was just pissing him off, it was revenge for last week when he had Hunter follow me till home like a creepy stalker! And sneak into my room in the middle of the night! Hunter's tall and in the dark, I swear he looks like a monster in human form!"

"Hunter's hot!" She protested.

"Again, not important. Why did you call me again?"

"I had to tell you my cousins are coming over-"

"The twins?! Flora and Fauna? When?"

"Yeah them, tonight. You'll be there to see them right?"

"Of course I will! I love those two! How old are they now?"

"Uh- ten."

"What time? And is Mae coming?" Mae is my friend obsessed with cute nerds.

" Mae's not coming. Uh- Steve's coming by six-" That's interesting...

"Steve's coming?" Steve is her crush. Since- let's see- two years? Yeah. Two years. It's adorable because they're both shy.

Fran's all mushy over him and although it makes me want to throw up I think it's cute.

Not puppy cute. But ya know- cute.

"yeah..." She said shy. I bet she's blushing.

"Did you tell him you have a crush on him?"

"NO! Alexa I swear if you open your mouth about it I will kill you and I don't care if my ten year old cousins are watching!" Hit the nerve!

"I'll come by eight."

"Come earlier please!!!"

"Why? Steve's gonna be there. You can spend time with him before I-"

"I don't want it to get awkward! Alexa!"

"So you're gonna hide it from him? While he's at your house?"

"Yeah! Well sorta-"

"Wait a minute, so he doesn't know you like him but he's coming to your house? To meet your cousins? Francesca, this doesn't make any sense!"

"He asked if I was free tonight and I said my cousins were coming over... So he asked if he could come too." Okay- what?

"You didn't tell me that earlier!"

"Well, I guess I forgot." No she didn't. She doesn't forget anything related to Steve. Anything. If it's about Steve, it's etched in her memory for- I don't know! I haven't taken a trip to her brain! I don't intend on taking a look into Steve land.

"Huh. I'll come by around eight."

"Six!" She pleaded.

"Seven." I can't be with those two for too long it makes me sick!

"Fine." Gah! I have to go don't I? Is 'Gah' really even a word?! Let's just call it weird random sound that I make, when frustrated. I hung up and tossed my phone to the side of the bed.

I should take a shower now, I'm tired and sweaty and I am meeting the twins in two hours.

"Alexa!" My mother called out.

"Ten minutes mum!" I said and entered the steaming hot shower. Hold on a minute, I just entered and- I didn't start the water!

This is like- the whole goldilocks situation in real life! Except I'm in the unfortunate position of one of the bears.
