TYTAN'S POV

"No!" I spat angrily.

"Ty, do this for your mother."

"Why is this one important?" I grumbled.

"Your father needs us to be there." Oh, she'd say that!

"Dad doesn't need you!" I spat out.

"But he needs you. Ty, he wants you to be there."

"Fine. For dad. You can leave." I said.

"It's for the best Ty."

"Stop calling me that!"

"Tytan what happened between your father and I is none of your business." So she cheated on him.

"He gave you everything. I was there mom."
"You don't know anything." She walked out.

This is not a subject I'd rather dwell over. I've learned to move past it.

I was dressed in my tux within a few minutes.

"Vince!" I called out going towards the living room.

"Yes Master?"

"Do my homework. Not a word to anyone." It was Sunday night and I was in no mood of staying back in school on Monday because of some homework that can be taken care of.

"What might your homework be Master?"

"There's a list on my desk. Handle it."

"That shouldn't be a problem Master."

"And Vince,"

"Yes Master?"

"Call me Tytan."

"I couldn't Master. Your parents would fire me."

"You work for me Vince." I corrected him.

"Hence, there is a certain amount of respect that I must have for you." He has a point.

"Alright. Goodbye buddy." I said going out of the house.

I got inside the car and made my way to the address that mom had given me. I felt a slight pain as I passed a hand through my hair. The stitches must be opening up.

"Fuck." I muttered under my breath. The pain only got worse.

How did I get hurt? Easy.

After school on Friday, I met Danny at a bar. We decided to meet for a specific reason. It broke into a fight and he lodged a broken bottle into my shoulder, which also extended into my bicep. I punched him in the stomach a few times but he seemed okay.

I got the bottle removed and got myself stitched up but I decided not to tell anyone.

I reached the venue soon enough and noticed a lot of different faces. I don't even know what this whole event is for. All I know is, it's a waste of a Sunday evening.

I struggled to find my father but eventually I did.

"Dad," he didn't notice me while he was talking to a few others.

"Tytan, I'm glad to see you here." He said giving me a hug.

"Mom said it meant a lot to you."

"It's nothing really without her." The smile disappeared off his lips for an instant.

"She said she'd be coming."

"Yeah, yeah, she will. But you know what I mean. She'll wear this gorgeous dress that makes her look even better and she'll behave as if we exist and then once we go home, it'll all be over." He loved mom and that was no secret. He had eyes only for her. But she didn't see it.
