Lillian's POV
I wake up and smile. I'm glad Kol is my mate. I sigh with relief and turn to Kol who is staring at me with a smile on his face. I lean up and kiss his lips.
"I love you." I say.
"I love you too." He says and we go another round.
Mitch's POV
I wake up in the Salvatore's house and I sigh remembering why. She cheated on me with my uncle. I can't deal with it.
"Melanie." I say and she vamp speeds in front of me.
"Yeah?" She asks.
"It hurts. I want it all to stop. The pain. The hurt. I want it to stop." I say honestly. I guess she gets what I'm getting at because she hugs me.
"No. I know it hurts but you can't do that. You'll regret it. I'm going to be here for you and so is Damon. I'm going to find out why Lillian did what she did and I'm going to try and sort this out." She says comforting me.
"Thank you so much Melanie. You're like a mom to me." I say hugging her back. I hear her sob and I pull back.
"Why are you crying?" I ask worried that I did something to upset her.
"Because you're a son to me. Hearing you say that brought tears to my eyes." She says honestly and I smile at her tears in my eyes.
"I love you mom." I say hugging her.
"I love you too, son." She says hugging me back. I finally have a mom that cares about me. My actual mom left when I was a baby.
"I have to go. I'll be back soon. Bye." I say standing up kissing her cheek.
