You were sitting on your couch when your phone rang.
"Hello?" you asked as you accepted the call.
For some reason, there was no response on the other end. Confused, you said, "Um, is anyone there? Who is this?"
"BOO!" the person yelled.
You sighed and smiled as the person exclaimed, "So, dude, did I totally scare you?"
"You sure did, America,' you responded to the male on the other end.
"Happy Halloween, (y/n)!" America shouted. "We should totally do something super scary to celebrate."
"Are you sure?" you teased. "Japan tells me that you scream and hug your pillow whenever the two of you watch a horror movie."
"Hey! Um, th-that's not true!" he stammered, making you laugh. "Okay... maybe I hugged my pillow a little. And screamed a little. But that was, like, a one-time-only thing! This time it'll be fine, dude! I swear!"
'Okay, then. What kind of 'scary' things do you want to do then?" you sighed.
"I had the most awesome idea!" America started. "What if... we went to a haunted house?"
"Sounds fun," you shrugged. "How about tonight at nine?" We'll meet at the one near my place."
"Sounds good, dude! See you then!" he shouted. You heard a click, signaling the end of the call.
You put the phone down and pumped your fist in the air.
"Yes!!" you cheered, giggling.
The truth was, you had a little crush on America. Even though most people found him and hyper and annoying, you honestly thought it was a little charming.
"Not that he'll ever like me back, though" you sighed, deflating a little.
You decided to make the most of it and pretend that it was a date. Since it was already seven, you decided to get ready.
After taking a quick shower, you did your hair and pulled on your favorite outfit. After slipping into your shoes, you grabbed your cellphone and headed out of your house, locking the door behind you.
You hopped into your car and started the ignition. After about ten minutes or so of driving, you reached the haunted house. It was the cheesiest one you had ever seen, with fake broken windows, busted doors, and a dramatic tune being played by an organ blasting out through a speaker outside of the entrance.
You parked your car and exited it, locking it behind you. You were glad to see that America was already there, waiting for you at the entrance. You held back a laugh when you noticed that he was trembling in fear.
"Hey, America!" you greeted as you approached him.
"Y-yo, (y/n)!" he stammered, adjusting his glasses. 'L-let's go pay for the t-tickets and g-go in!"
"Are you scared?" you teased as you approached the ticket counter.
"N-no, I'm not!" America protested. "I'm a hero! Heroes don't get scared, dude!"
"Two tickets, please," you said to the person at the counter.
You were surprised to see that the person was England.
"Sure thing," England sighed. He handed you the tickets as he said, "Good luck actually getting scared. We have other countries working here as actors... they're the only ones we could hire. I suppose that all of the professional actors knew that this is going to be a bloody disaster."
