Sting x Reader (Fairy Tail)

"You?!" you yelled in shock to the person standing across from you.

"YOU?!" the person shouted back.

"Sorry, Rogue," you said, turning to your new friend, "but I can't join Sabertooth if he's a member."

"Oi! I'm not just a member - I'm the guild master!" the person said somewhat haughtily.

"Like I care, Sting," you shot back.

"Whatever, (y/n)," the person - a blonde jerk named Sting - retorted, mimicking you.

"Hey, what's going on here?!" Minerva demanded, pushing her way in between the two of you.

"It looks like they have a rough past," Rogue shrugged.

"No kidding, Rogue," Sting snapped at his best friend.

Although he looked annoyed, Rogue just sighed and decided to ignore it.

"(y/n)-san, you should give Sabertooth a chance," a shy girl named Yukino pleaded, approaching you.

You tried your best to be polite as you said, "Sorry, Yukino. I don't think I could handle it."

"I know he's an idiot, but does Sting bother you that much?" Minerva asked, prompting a "HEY!" from the dragonslayer.

You and glared at him as you answered, "Definitely."

"How can you hate him? Sting-kun is the best!" a brown Exceed cheered, popping up from behind Sting.

"Listen to Lector," Sting said, crossing his arms.

"Why do you hate him?" Rogue asked, staring at you curiously.

"Why don't you ask him yourself?!" you snapped.

"I have no idea why you hate me, (y/n)!" Sting said defensively. "I didn't do anything! Everything was fine until one day, you started acting like a jerk!"

"I could say the same about you!" you replied, annoyed.

Rogue sighed before saying, "Listen. Just give Sabertooth a month. If you hate it, you can leave. If you don't, stay."

You thought for a moment before sighing in defeat.

"Fine," you grumbled. Then, turning to Sting, you added, "But I refuse to do anything associated with him."

"Yukino, go give... (y/n) their guild mark," Sting said, looking annoyed. "I sure as heck ain't doing it."

"Jerk!" you yelled as he walked away.

Yukino pulled out the stamp from her pocket.

"Where and what color would you like it, (y/n)-san?" she asked shyly.

You gave her an answer, and she stamped you there. After that, you sat down at a chair and put your head in your hands.

This is going to be a long month...

About an hour later, you were staring at the request board, looking for a high-paying job. Eventually, one caught your eye.

HELP! WE HAVE A MONSTER TERRORIZING OUR VILLAGE! WE NEED THE HELP OF A MAGE WILLING TO TAKE ON THE TASK! REWARD: 100,000 JEWEL

"This looks perfect!" you exclaimed to yourself. Excited, you yanked the flyer off of the request board and started out the door.

Just as you were about to leave, you heard a voice call, "Oi, where are you going?"

You turned around to face sting. Annoyed, you snapped, "What do you want?!"
