Chapter 15 ~ Recovery

Natsu's POV

Lucy and I sat in the music room and talked for a long time. She sat across from me and I listened to her explain how she got here, but in more detail. Which; I wanted her to do.

"Most people think it's my dad who killed my mother to get the money... But, I'm not exactly sure." She explained. I nodded and put my hand on hers.

"Lucy, you know your safe right?" I asked. She looked up a bit and smiled, nodding. She got up and walked over behind me and wrapped her arms around me. I felt my cheeks burning. "Luce...?" I asked, looking at her.

"Yes?" She asked quietly.

"I..... I like you." I said quickly.

"I like you too, Natsu." She responded calmly.

"Wait, hold up!" I said turning to look at her. A huge gentle smile was creeping up her face. "You do!?"

"Yeah, I do." She whispered ruffling my hair. "You need to listen sometimes." She whispered again, getting up and looked out the window. A jet-black sky shown through with tiny twinkling stars lighting it up. A small yawn escaped her mouth as she smiled. I stood and grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a hug.

"Thank you, Luce." I whispered, smiling. Luce didn't really know what for, but I did. I was thanking her for coming here, auditioning for Glitter, and for being who she was. Luce hugged me back and closed her eyes.

"You're welcome." She whispered, smiling.

I pulled away and looked at her, "stay who you are." I whispered. She nodded and smiled.

"I will." She said, yawning. I sat down near the boxes and she followed me, laying her head down on my legs. "Thank you, for being there for me." She whispered, staring up at me. Our eyes locked for a while and I smiled, running my hand over her blonde hair.

Levy's POV

"Gajeel?" I asked, looking up at him.

"Yeah?" He asked, looking down at me.

"You know, once people get to know you, they might not think you're so scary." I whispered, smiling. "Because, to be honest. You're really sweet."

"Yeah, no." He laughed, "I doubt that."

"Why do you doubt it? Don't you know it's true."

"I'm just a monster, that's how everyone saw me when I transferred from Phantom."

"But you're different from then!" I argued.

"That maybe, but thoughts remain! I can't just come to Fairy Tail Academy and be the most amazing person on the earth." He pointed out. "It's not like that."

"I know." I whispered, "I know exactly how you feel."

"How so?"

"I'm usually bullied because of the things that I love to do, read and write."

"Who bullies you!?" He asked defensively.

"No one! It's not important right now."

"It does if it means it hurts you."

"Gajeel...."

Lucy's POV

I stared at him for a while as he looked at the wall blankly. Occasionally he would glance at me and smile, and I would blush and look away.

"Wanna go up to the roof?" I asked.

"Sure!" Natsu replied smiling. I lifted my head and stood up slowly arching my back to get rid of the stiffness that was built up there. I sighed and blinked as we climbed the stairs to the roof top.

"L-Levy-chan!" I said smirking. She was sitting next to Gajeel staring at the night sky with her head rested on his shoulder.

"Huh?!" She asked jumping up and leaning against the small railing that lined the edge of the platform.

"Didn't mean to startle you." I giggled, smiling.

"Bunny-girl." Gavel rasped, turning to face me. His red eyes flashed with fire of hatred towards me. He got up and quickly walked towards me; fast. I backed up quickly. "You're gonna pay for hurting me like that." He hissed, balling his hand up into a fist.

"Luce!"

"Lu-chan!!!" Levy cried, "Gajeel stop!" She yelled, tearing up.

"Don't worry Levy-chan." I whispered, nodding slowly. "I'm ready when ever you are Gajeel."

Gajeel smirked, "you're gonna be dead meat."
