Chapter 24 ~ Who Are You?

Natsu's POV

I noticed Lucy left, but I thought she went to the library. But, she wouldn't leave without telling anyone!

"Natsu!" Levy yelled, running at me. She stopped and tried to control her breathing. "it's Lucy. She's outside and crying." She wheezed.

"I thought she was with you." I questioned hesitantly.

"She was, and then I lost her. I was running around frantically to find her. I didn't see her at all." Levy explained, her hand movements started to give me a headache.

"Okay, okay." I whispered, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Did you find her now?" I asked, tilting my head to one side."

"No, the only thing I know is that she's outside and I heard her crying."

"Again?!" I asked.

"Again?" Levy questioned, tilting her head.

I sighed. "Last night, she was crying and screaming in her sleep." I explained softly.

"She was?" Levy asked. I nodded.

"She said that she lost us..." I murmured.

"Let's go find her!" Levy said, grabbing my wrist.

"Mira, Erza, Lisanna, Juvia, Gray and Loke," I called. "Let's go!" They all followed us out of the lunch room.

"Mira and Erza go that way," Levy directed pointing to the west wing. "Natsu and i will go here." She reported pointing to the east wing. "Juvia and gray will go to the North Wing." She sighed. "And Lisanna and Loke will go to the south wing."

"Let's go!" We dashed off, everyone ran towards their designated wing.

Loke's POV

Fifteen minutes passed, we're still looking for Lucy. "Lucy!" I called. "Lucy!!"

"Oh hush up!" Lisanna snapped. "I can't believe I got dragged into this."

"Well, you were, and you can put up with it." I retorted, calling out Lucy's name once more.

"I don't even want to find her." She hissed. I shook my head and pushed her against the wall.

"Too bad Lisanna! You think I care what you want to do?" I snapped. "Lucy's missing, and if you want Natsu to give you even an ounce of respect again. You'll help me. Otherwise you're going to be where you are now. Down in a ditch!" I whispered harshly. "Leave if you choose, I'm finding Lucy." I hissed, walking away. Lisanna stared at me as I walked off. I rolled my eyes and continued to walk.

Levy's POV

"Lu-chan!" I called, my hands cupping my mouth to filter more noise.

"Luce!" Natsu called the same way, but in the opposite direction. Thoughts passed through my head.

"Where did you hear the crying?" Natsu asked me, again. I stopped talking and strained her ears.

"Shhh! Listen!" I whispered. I nodded slowly and listened carefully. "This way!" I called, running past him, towards a closet.

He raced after me. "Is she in here?" Natsu asked, staring at the door warily.

"Lu-chan?" I asked, opening the door. Lucy sat there, her head on her knees as he body shook. I looked down and words were scribbled on her notebook. Along with many tears. Natsu stared at the paper for a while...

"Luce.." He whispered. "Are you really that scared?" I took the notebook from him and read.

"Dear mother,

I'm scared of Fairy Tail Academy. It was my dream school, and my friends are the best. Just that Gajeel is still here, I almost died, TWICE. And more girls bully me because I like Natsu... They all hate me! I keep thinking I might not come back in one piece."

I put my hand over my mouth to muffle a small squeak. Natsu sighed and picked up Lucy. She threw her arms around his neck and cried into his shoulder. He closed his eyes and held her tight. "I'm so sorry, Luce." He murmured. Lucy sniffled and hugged him, drying her tears.

"I-it's okay." She whispered, taking in a shaky breath. "It'll all be okay, I promise." She whispered again.
