Chapter 16 ~ Rooftop Rages

Lucy's POV

Gajeel stared at me with his piercing red eyes, an evil smirk planted on his smug face.

"Luce!" Natsu called, I glanced at him quickly before jumping out of the way of Gajeel's attack.

"Stupid." I muttered, landing a hard punch on Gajeel's stomach, sending him staggering back.

"Lu-chan..." Levy whispered watching from the shadows. Natsu watched with arms crossed arms and wide eyes. Gajeel growled and punched me in the face sending me flying. I gasped and shook it off, bruises already forming. He ran at me again as I jumped up wrapped my leg around his neck and launched my body to the side, causing him to fall over as well as put me on the dominate side (A/N: It's kinda like that one move Black Widow did in Avengers: Age of Ultron....) Natsu stared at me with huge eyes.

"Okay, now I'm warmed up." He said laughing. My jaw dropped.

"B-but how!?" I asked, blood dripping down from my cheek.

"Gihe." He laughed and launched into me with full-force. I cried in pain and flew back  into the railings. I flew backwards and went off the rooftop, I tried to grab the railing but missed it by only an inch.

Minna... Gommen.

I closed my eyes as I fell harshly.

Natsu's POV

No, no no! I knew something bad was gonna happen! I thought as I ran down the stairs towards the place where Lucy fell attempting to catch her.

"NATSU!" She yelled.

"Got'cha!" I said as I caught her bridal style.

"Natsu!" She whispered crying, blood flowing down from her forehead and nose.

"Shh." I whispered, carrying her to the Nurses office. I opened the unlocked door and set her gently down on the bed. "Stay still, this might hurt." I warned. I pulled out an antibacterial wipe and pressed it softly to the cuts on her arms and forehead. She winced as more tears slipped down her face. I frowned and wiped them away gently. "You're okay."

"I'm... Sorry." She rasped, her eyes shut tight. "I shouldn't have done that."

"No no," I whispered, kissing her now clean; but bruised forehead. "You shouldn't be sorry. It was self-defense."

"But you all worried, because of me." She gasped, as if it hurt too much to even blink.

I slowly and gently held her in my arms and let her cry there. Her bruised body shaking and weak. "Don't worry, Luce. I'll get him." I said with anger.

"Levy-chan will talk to him." She whispered, shaking violently. I felt her wince and cry harder. "I-I'm so weak. I really s-shouldn't have done that... At all."

"Luce... Calm down." I whispered running my hand over her head. "You're safe and you'll be okay."

Levy's POV

"You BAKA!!" I yelled, fuming. "You almost killed my best friend!" I screamed, falling to my knees crying. "If I lost Lu-chan...." She whispered. "Gajeel this is not how you prove you are worth it to me. Not at all!"

"Levy..."

"Shut up!!" I yelled again looking up at the sky, the sun was rising. "You're lucky Natsu saved her, otherwise I would have jumped off this roof to save her." I whispered, shaking, more tears slipped down my face. Gajeel walked over and picked me up and gently held on to me.

"You need to calm down." He whispered. I didn't listen, I hit his chest with my small fists trying to get away.

"Stop!" I screamed.

"No."
