Zoë Sugg had always wanted children. She knew since she was only a little girl herself that she wanted to be a mummy when she grew up with a loving husband, a dream house (with a car to match of course) and a family pet (preferably a dog).
At the age of 26, Zoë had already managed to get herself half way there. She had a dream house with plenty of space, the perfect car, Nala her adorable pug, and then she had Alfie Deyes, her boyfriend of 3 years, and thanks to his recent proposal now her fiancé of 5 months, who made her feel on top of the world every moment that she was with him. All that was left once the wedding was celebrated was to become a mum.
Zoë adored children. She often spent hours on end caring for her friends kids, and over the past year she'd began to see Alfie's paternal side. She fell head over heals in love with him all over again as she watched how gentle he was with them, and how much he smiled and laughed when he played with them. She knew Alfie eventually wanted children too, but she wasn't exactly sure as to what his thoughts surrounding their own children were.
The questions had been circling in Zoë's mind since the night her gorgeous engagement ring was slid onto her finger, and one night in June as her fiancé lay on their sofa hugging her into his body she decided she needed to ask.
"Alf?" She said, her voice high pitched and tentative. This instantly drew Alfie's attention away from the TV and towards his girlfriends face, which had now turned to look at him.
"What's wrong?" He asked, gently stroking her hip with his thumb.
Zoe looked down at his hand as she lay on her back and gently, almost shyly took his hand into both of hers. Slowly, she moved his hand up from her hip and brought it to rest on her stomach lightly. She then looked back up to Alfie's slightly puzzled face. "Do you ever think about our future?"
Alfie smiled slightly and began to rub small circles on Zoë's stomach under her pyjama shirt. "Of course I do, I think about it a lot actually."
"You do?" Zoë smiled. "What do you think it looks like?" This was it, if kids weren't mentioned in here somewhere then she had a major problem.
Alfie propped himself up on his elbow a little bit more and continued to draw on Zoë's tummy. His circles had now turned into hearts.
"I see me in a beautiful house in the countryside part of Hove. It's huge with a ginormous driveway and a massive garden." Zoë's stomach flipped at the lack of her own name in that sentence. What if there was an entirely different issue to deal with?! She went to open her mouth to ask if she should be worried when Alfie began speaking again and instantly calmed her rising nerves.
"We're in that house, me and you, and we're still on YouTube. We're happy. Really happy. There's always laughter in the house, and Nala loves all the garden space." Zoë feels herself smile at the thought of the scene.
"And do you want to know the best part? Aside from the fact that I can actually drive" Alfie smirked. His hearts were getting bigger on her stomach.
Zoë laughed and nodded, gently stroking Alfie's cheek at his adorableness.
"There are these little humans running around, and their laughter makes my heart swell with happiness. They're my favourite human beings in the world, because they're half of you, and half of me put together in the most extraordinary, beautiful way." Zoë's eyes welled up and she brought Alfie's lips to hers as soon as the last word left his mouth.
"So babies are definitely on the agenda?" Zoë asked once their lips had parted.
Alfie chuckled and grabbed her waist, pulling them both up so they were seated and then shifting so that Zoë could straddle his hips.
"Oh defiantly" Alfie smirked, making Zoë giggle before he brought their lips together once again, this time for a passionate, loving kiss.
After a while, the both of them were becoming slightly breathless. Zoë shifted a little bit on Alfie's lap causing his eyes to bulge open and their lips to part with his gasp. They panted to get their breath back for a good minute or so, their foreheads never leaving one another's. Alfie moved his wandering hands to Zoë's bum and squeezed slightly.
"Maybe we should start practicing that whole baby making thing now?" He suggested with a sexy side smile he knew Zoë couldn't refuse.
"To the baby making chamber!" Zoë called out making them both laugh, but the laughter was soon silenced and Alfie reconnected their lips and carried her upstairs where their rehearsals began with a bang (no pun intended)
