Alfie's POV

It had been 181 hours. 6 hours to go. 6 hours until I could feel her body in my arms, press my lips against her lips, place my hands against her skin. 6 hours until I was home.

I'd already watched a film on the plane and checked out a few games on the TVs, but only 2 hours into my flight I was bored to the death. I huffed and puffed, shifted and stretched, closed my eyes and opened them, anything to pass time, but each time I checked the clock it had shifted by hardly a minute.

I sighed and took my headphones off, putting them in my backpack and turning the TV off in a huff. Maybe the only way for time to pass would be by not checking it.

I slumped down in my seat and crossed my ankle over my knee, interlocking my fingers over my stomach.

"Is there a problem Sir?" a cheerful voice rang from above me. I peered up to see a young blonde air hostess smiling down at me, her head cocked to the side like Nala.

"What?" I didn't mean to sound rude, really I didn't, but I was not in the mood for Mary McSmileALot right at that second.

Her smile did not falter, in fact it widened some, and she tilted her head to the other side. "I asked if there was a problem Sir, you don't look all that happy is all."

I shrugged and looked out of the plane window. "Jut want to be home." I mumbled.

The air hostess raised her eyebrows a little "Ah, got someone you're looking forward to seeing?" She asked.

I nodded, raising my eyes to her "Yeah, family, friends, my little dog."

"Oh." Sh nodded, her eyes becoming wider, her smile now becoming a bit creepy.

"But most of all my girlfriend, Zoe" I sighed thinking of Zoe at home. "I've missed her so much it's crazy" call me odd for noticing, but suddenly the air hostess was no longer smiling. She was now wearing a tight frown.

"Oh. Well, enjoy the flight" the air hostess flittered off, huffing under her breath as she hurried past.

I rolled my eyes.

Suddenly becoming slightly chirpier I turned my TV on. Surely that awkward encounter would have passed some time.

"Are you kidding!?" I cursed to myself in an agitated whisper. It had been 3 minutes.

Zoë's POV

4 hours!

It was now only 4 hours until I would finally see Alfie again. I felt like it had been months since I last saw him, last kissed him held him, touched him, but it had only been 12 days. Still, I was more than excited to see him.

His plane was due to land in 3 hours time, and I'd spontaneously decided I would mix up his plans (without him knowing) after we'd spoken over FaceTime the other night, positive I couldn't have waited any longer to see him.

I'd texted Ang the morning after our little video chat and begged her to contact a few people to make my plan work. She'd sighed and scolded and warned and protested, but I knew she was giddy at the thought and desperate to make it work too.

Now, with 4 hours to go, I said goodbye to Nala, jumped in my car and began my journey to Stansted. To my man.

Alfie's POV

"Attention all passengers, we are now preparing for landing, please ensure your seatbelts are securely fastened, your seats completely raised and your tables tucked away. Cabin crew prepare for landing."

I could have broken out into cheers of celebration as the plane began its decent into London, Stansted. I was ready and waiting, my knee bobbing with excitement, before most people had gotten the chance to finish listening to the announcement. I couldn't wait to land and go back home to see Zoe and Nala. My family.
