Fallen, but rise back up.

Cristy's POV

Mickey fell back into the dreamworld. Blind and powerless. She didn't stare as blankly this time. She fell asleep in my arms.

" Now it's more important than ever to get back down. " Lily said.

We all agreed and started building streachers to carry them down with. Since Mickey was less heavy we let Locke and Lincoln carry her. Lando helped me carrying Link and Lily and Shepard helped Jessie. They had the heavy duty. And to be honest, I'm suprised they actually managed to get him up at all. Since he's so tall, he's a big guy.

" Shepard, you know the best how to get out of here. You'll lead us. " Jessie said as we all started to carry the streachers down the road back home.

Shepard opened the door and stared down towards the big plates of rock.

" This'll be difficult, but it's our only option. It's this, or nothing. " Locke mumbled as he and Lincoln lifted Mickey from the castle to the first disc.

" Let's do this. " Lily said as Rhett came over to it as well.

As we got Link on to it I started counting how many discs there we back down. I reached into the high 20 meaning this wouldn't be over in one day. We needed rest. But currently things were looking better. After climbing down 7 discs we sat down to rest.

" That was heavy. " Lincoln said and said down next to me.

" But we're doing a great job dude. " Lock said and patted him on the shoulder.

Lincoln smiled and laid down on his back with his hands behind his head.

" I'm so glad we got out of there. And that we'll get back to sivilaisaion. "

I smiled at him as I looked at my husband, his best friend and the girl who saved us, asleep in front of me. I stroke Links and cheek, I told myself he was safe. I saw Jessie doing the same thing to Rhett. The kids looked at me.

" Mickey. " Lando said.

Just that single word made something open up inside. Thoughts I've never had before. Thoughts about how Mickey felt. She never really talked about her emotions. And I hadn't really asked. After resting for about an hour we decided to start walking again. It wasn't long until nighttime was here and it would be to dark to keep on going at that point. Once night occurred I counted the discs again. There we 13 left, and if Lily counted correctly we'd gone 12, about halfway there...
