I walked into the kitchen, Mr. and Mrs. McLaughlin sat at the table. When I came in they just looked at me. I walked over to the kitchen sink and grabbed a glass of water. I drank it and then Mr. McLaughlin waved at me.
" Come have a seat Link. I just want to talk. " He peacefully said.
I walked over and sat down next to him. Mrs. McLaughlin smiled at me for a second and then left the room. Mr. McLaughlin put his hands around mine and looked me in the eyes.
" Please don't take this as a threat, all I want is information. "
I nodded my head. Mr. McLaughlin knew I wasn't an agressive guy. But I saw he was worried that I'd do something.
" You've been with Rhett for a really long time. And from what I know you've been a lot with Mickey too. We all know no one know exactly what happened. All I'm asking is that you help me. To protect Rhett and his family. "
I looked up at him.
" Protect Rhett? I... " I began.
" No, don't say anything. I just want you to do that. "
