Rocky's pov
"Hey, Laura! You know where I can find Vanessa?" I asked Laura, eager to know where Vanessa was. "Yeah, she is in the kitchen." I quickly ran past her, towards the kitchen.
This is your chance Rocky, don't blow it up. "Sup" I smirked leaning on the kitchen door. "Umm, hi!" Vanessa smiled. Man, I love her smile!
"So, what are you doing?" I asked as my stomach rumbled. "I'm actually making mac and cheese. You want some?" she offered.
"MAC AND CHEESE!?!" I yelled. "What do you mean by that? Don't you like mac and cheese?" She asked wide- eyed. "How can you not like Mac and cheese?! I mean, it's literally AWESOME!!" She continued.
"Wait a sec. I never said that. I love mac and cheese!" I said, getting excited. "Phew! Here you go! It's ready." Vanessa handed me a plate full of mac and cheese. I quickly took a bite. It was delicious!
"Oh god! This is the best mac and cheese I've ever had! It's even better than the one I once ate at some expensive restaurant!" She smiled, showing her teeth.
"No, no. I don't think it's that good. I borrowed some cooking books from Mrs. Leslie at the orphanage. This is the first time I actually made it. It's quite easy actually." She insisted.
"What? This is your first time?! Seriously, this is amazing!" I repeated. "Thanks." She mumbled
. "So, do you like video games?" I asked her randomly. "OMG! Yes, I love video games! I've only played them once, when we went to visit some friends of ours who got adopted."
"Okaay.. So, you wanna play?" I headed towards the T.V. She nodded her head, so I handed her the remote.
"I bet I can beat you." She challenged. "I don't think so, honey. I am the champion of this game." I said proudly. "Oh yeah? Let's see who wins. Game on, Rocky!"
