History. My favorite subject! Not forgetting, my favorite teacher too. Mrs Johnson was the most amazing woman. She as understanding, supportive and bubbly. Everyone loved her, and those who didn't, well, were absolutely jealous of her because she was the Prime Minister's daughter.
In a class of 9 History students, I was very surprised to see a new member. The new boy was in my class. In my head, I echoed 'You!' With a daredevil look. But instead, I greeted him.
"Hello!" I said confidently, "My name is Madeleine, but you can call me Maddy." I expressed my smile, waiting for him to respond. I heard him say something under his breath but I couldn't hear it from where I was seated.
"Hi. I'm Seth." He finally said calmly with a British accent.
He had already captured my heart. Did I mention? I'm a people's person, quite loud and opinionated but reserved. So Seth and I continued to converse, but there was something familiar about him. And be a I'm too forward, I questioned him.
"Who's your mom? Where did you grow up? Have you ever lived in California before?" I felt like such a pest. 'Way to go Mandy.' Surprisingly, he just laughed, I was confused if it was interest or not.
"My mom is Grace, she's friends with your mom. I grew up in New Castle, England. And yes I have been here, it's where we grew up together as kids. We were too young for you to remember anyway. Mom told me I'd meet you."
I was honestly speechless. With this information, so many girls would die to be in my position. But luckily for us, I remembered him, and his sister Khalisi Matthews too. Charmer boy and I continued to chat. He left his seat to sit next to me. I'm don't know why I felt like a 6 year old again.
During the lesson, Mrs Johnson could tell there was some other conversation other than The Roaring Twenties going on, so Seth and I did our work as quickly as possible and began to chat all over again.
He was a really sweet boy. He did have this bad boy effect on him, but he was polite anyway. His bright brown eyes had an angelic sight, his black hair was well combed, his hands were soft and long. That day, Seth told me a lot about himself. He plays basketball, volleyball, track racer and a swimmer. He also dances. I realized that I paid too much attention to him speak. I guess I am a sucker for accents.
After class, I walked him to his new friends, notorious bad boy Brad Martin who was known for having been with a large number of girls. I personally thought he was bad for Seth, but it wasn't my place to say.
So as Seth and I arrived to Brad and his friends, my sweet cousin Andrew announced how 'cute' Seth and I look together. He really killed the cool moment. I felt hot and I just knew that my cheeks were red. So I decided to leave. While I was walking, I noticed someone following me so I stopped and turned to see who it was and BAM! It was Seth.
"Hey. You lost?" I asked as if I wasn't interested.
"No, actually. I just want to thank you for being yourself." He froze and looked at his phone. "Well, do you mind saving your number? Maybe I can get to know you better. If you don't mind. And I'd like to ask you a few things." He quickly said, scratching his head.
How cute! I made the hot boy blush without saying a word!
"Yeah," I passed out a faint laugh but really anxious to know. "I'll save it. It's cool."
We both exhaled and made eye contact, then suddenly, we just bursted into laughter.
"Oh!" I turned around, "You're welcome Seth." I smiled and walked away.
First day wasn't bad. I hope it stays this way forever. Dad was on time to take me home, though it's embarrassing that I'll be 17 in 5 months but I still don't have a car. I know, over-exaggerator! But I need a car.
When I got home, I quickly checked my phone for any notifications. That one notification, but maybe he was busy. With that, I threw my phone in the couch and rushed to the kitchen to make a sandwich. Next thing, my phone rings. Scary. Who calls? I ran to the opposite room and it was an unsaved number.
"Hiya!" I said excitedly.
"Uhm, hey, is this Maddy?" The male spoke after exhaling.
