Chapter 14: Snow Queen

"So what is it with you and Andrew? Aren't you dating Zack?" I asked Tammy curiously

"We only hooked up! No big deal! You need to calm down bestie. It's okay." She said it so calmly and spoke as if I was high.

"But you do know he has a girlfriend, right? In fact, make that girlfriends." I exaggerate on the s.

"And I don't care! It's his choice to flirt with me, he's the one who came to me!" She spoke like she had no interest in our conversation.

"Okay. Look, you're my friend and he's my cousin. If what you're both doing gets fucked up, I don't want to be in the position where I have to choose between the two of you. Also, you two are good friends, think about how you'll be after the whole fling has ended. Lastly, you both are taken and this will affect your relationships." I know, I have a cute big mouth but he had to get the truth and tough love.

"Why are you interrogating me? Usually Tia does that beautifully. Maddy, I know you care and you don't want me hurt but I'm a big girl and I got this." She says as she brushes off dust from her collar. "You will never be in the position where you'll have to choose. I'll never let that happen." She finishes off.

"You know, sometimes you're a better sister to her than I am most times. Good job Madd!" Tia says as she claps her hands slowly. "Now come on, let's get some sleep so we don't look like the trash at school." She continued.

"Yeah, you're right. Even though it's only 7:47. Good night my babies!" I say as I mess up their hair.

Tia playfully kicked me back and Tammy surprised me with her comeback: "I broke up with Zack because I have feelings for Andrew. Good night Bennett." She kissed me quickly and covered her face under the blankets.

My best friend never seizes to amaze me.

"Rise and shine my bad bitches!" I say as I wake up the twins.

"You're such a whore! You don't have to do that!" Tammy says because she is not a morning person.

"You got yourself into this mess babe, now work yourself out of it." I say and Tia nods.

"Okay, I'm up!" She makes her way to the bathroom, big mistake because she takes half an hour in the bathroom.

After an hour of struggle, we all managed to get ready by the time it was 1:45 p.m. There wasn't much to do because we had our nails done and I got my hair cut, so we called for a hairstylist to fix the girls hair at 4 so we leave at 7.

We had asked my dad, who was surprisingly home that Saturday to get our dresses. It was easier that way because a lot of people know him and they could just give him extra shoes or jewelry, who knows.

"Thank you so much dad. This is a list of all the things you'll get. We've already paid for them so you don't have to worry." I say to him.

"All these items and drive just for one night? You're growing too fast girls." He replies and leaves the house.

"Love you too!" I shout out to him. "Okay girls, get your asses in the car." I say, making it seem like a mission.

"But why?" Tia asked while she was making another sandwich.

"I don't wanna know, let's just go." Tammy said as she took her bag. "Shotgun Tia, Maddy's driving." I shot my arm up in a fist pump.

"We all know that dad will only go to one shop and bring a few items. So let's hurry." I say as I take Tammy's G-Class keys.

We got in the car and drove off almost immediately.

When we arrived at all our ordered shops, we saw dad, who looked like he was struggling with our collections.

"Dad' what's up?" I ask curiously.

"They refuse to give me the dresses and shoes because I didn't purchase them. I'm so glad you're here! I was getting frustrated." He said calmly.

"It's okay dad. Thank you though. I'll handle it." After going to the till, the lady who saw us fit on the dresses explained why they don't give dresses to strangers unless the shoppers informed them so.

After getting mine, Tammy and Tia's dresses, we drove to Calabasas to get Tammy's shoes. Our mission was successful and by that I mean 'No one from school saw us.'

After hours of hair and makeup we heard a car park in front of my house. I looked through my blinds and saw Seth, my mom and his mom. He looked amazing, Royal and so handsome. I smiled to myself with a thought that 'That's my Seth.' I couldn't be more grateful for today.

I finally zoned back into reality and finished getting my makeup. My hair was a simple task, I just tied it up in a neat bun and a side bang and I felt complete.

The twins walked downstairs first and they couldn't look more ravishing. Justin was on time to fetch Tia and he was speechless, that was such a beautiful moment. The next person to come in was Andrew. What on earth was he here for? Then it hit me, he's here for Tammy. But I didn't understand why neither of them said anything. My best friend and cousin had been keeping this from me?

"You two look so cute together." I say as I walk down the stairs.

They both blush and Tammy says "I'll see you there okay?"

"Okay." I pass a smile.

"You look beautiful by the way cuz." Andrew said as he and Tammy left.

"He sure is right, you look beyond beautiful." He scans me from top to bottom. "Fuck that, you're always beautiful." He welcomes me with a hug.

"Thank you handsome. You don't look so bad yourself." I say as I fix his tie.

"You better take care of her young man. I want her back in one piece." Dad said.

"Come on my babies, let's take a picture of you two lovebirds." My mom says as she whispers the last part so dad doesn't hear. But to think of it, I wasn't sure if she knew that Seth and I were dating or not.

"Hurry mom, I don't wanna be late." I protest after they've taken pictures.

"Okay, okay! Go! Have fun okay? Take lots of pictures." My mom said.

"You look beautiful sweetie, like a Snow Queen, angelic and absolutely beautiful." Aunt Grace said with tears in her eyes.

I kissed her cheek lightly. "Thank you aunt Grace."

"Call me mom. You know you're part of the family." She hugged me.

"Okay mom, you're freaking her out." Seth interrupted. "And you'll ruin her makeup." We both laughed and walked out the door.

Seth opened the door for me and I felt like a Queen, I felt appreciated. We arrived at school on time, Tammy, Tia and their dates were outside waiting for us. Everything from outside was beautifully decorated.
