The night wasn't over, the awards went on and it was the last award for the Seniors left and that was the 'Senior Winter Ball King and Queen' or 'Cutest Couple'. With all the PDA that's been going on at school, there was bound to be so many nominations for that category.
"Alright everyone, our winners for this category are," Tammy pauses, "Madeline Bennett and Seth Matthews!!" I was shocked!
I looked around like I was crazy, expecting to see another Madeleine Bennett walk up then Seth held my hand as I sign that I should stand up and walk with him to the stage.
"Come on beautiful, I got you." He smiled till his dimple popped out.
I felt so safe and beautiful. It's not that I'm shy, I'm not, I'm just not used to being the center of attraction, but ever since Seth and I started dating, I've been getting so much attention.
So I stood up shyly and heard all the applauses and followed Seth to the stage. Our senior boys stood up clapping and shouted "SPEECH!!!" In their deep voices. Obviously, the girls were jealous and sat there like snobs.
"Thank you so much for voting for us. We really appreciate it and we're humbled to know that most of you believe we're sweet. But really, I owe it all to my beautiful girlfriend, Maddy, without her, everything would be different and I'm grateful to have you in my life babe. I love you." Seth said and everyone uttered "Awwwu!"
I let out a tear but tried to hold the rest back in. I hugged Seth and he kissed my cheek. I was too shy to speak but I had to make a speech, for Seth's sake.
"Uhm, I can't beat such a wonderful speech like that but thank you all so much for voting for us, like he said, we really appreciate it. I am eternally grateful for the angel that has entered my life, Seth, thank you for the endless smiles and laughs. I love you always." I said and the boys and young girls went wild with whistles and "awwus".
The night continued with dances and a lot of pictures being taken. Hovever, the boys were planning a house party at Justin's house but I was too tired to be at a party. Tammy and Tia were also not in the mood for it too, so we drove home.
We had a typical girl sleepover that night, instead of sleeping, we were gossiping about people's outfits and then celebrity crushes.

The rest of the weekend was pretty awesome. The school had given us a free week from school and that was my cherry on top because when we'd go back, we'd close.
Aunt Grace however, had to fly to New Castle to see Seth and Khalisi's dad, which meant leaving the kids alone, which was a bad idea. Now, because my mom and his mom are friends, and Khalisi had been beefing for a sleep over, my mom just offered to have them both sleep over at my house until she gets back. Now that was one way of starting my winter holiday.
"Okay honey, I'll let her know. We'll just go to the mall and get a few things. I'll be late for work though but I'm sure she'd be thrilled to drive." I heard mom say as I opened the fridge.
"And who's going to the mall?" I asked as I opened my Nutella jar.
"We are sweetie. Khalisi is coming over and I noticed that you and your twin friends finished most of the food." She turns to me, "Which is why you're going to buy the food. But you'll have to drop me off at work first." She finished.
I was so excited! Mom finally lets me drive! Maybe she wants to pursue dad to get me a car.
"Oh, okay." I said calmly. "I'll go get my shoes." I walked out with my sandwich.
"So you can drive, but please don't fuck up my car Maddy. Just don't." She said as she walked out of the car.
"Remember, you're going to have to fetch the Matthews kids from their house. Behave!" She blew her final kiss.
Both of them huh? This'll be an adventure. So I took my phone and dialed Khalisi.
"Hey babe!" I said, "How are you?"
"Just the person I need to talk to! I'm good, how are you?" Said Khalisi
"I'm great thanks. You know you're coming over right? And right now I'm coming to your house and then we go for food shopping." I said.
"Oh that's okay! I'm all ready anyway. Your boyfriend is freaking out. I dint know if it's good or bad freaking out, but he can't wait to see you." She finished.
I laughed, we both did. "Okay, okay, I'll be there in ten minutes!" I said, but hoping there isn't traffic back.
She hung up and I plugged in the aux cable to the car, playing my favorite songs until I got to Khalisi's house.
"Hey girl!" I said as I hugged her.
"Hey girl, hey!" She replied back excitedly and hugged me tighter!
"You guys ready to go?" I asked her as I put her bag in the car.
"I am, but go find out if your boyfriend is." She said and got in the car.
So there I was, walking in their house looking for Seth. I called out his name twice and he walked down the stairs.
"Finally Cinderella, let's go!" I said and he laughed.
"Babe, it's Monday, there's no rush for anything." He dropped his bag and hugged me. "Hey beautiful." Then our eyes met and we kissed. I don't know how long it was but we heard the car honk outside. Khalisi was one eager beaver!
Khalisi had called shotgun and I obviously drove them like their chauffeur. When we got to the mall, Khalisi was beyond excited to buy things for food! Because mom would freak out if we didn't buy anything healthy, we got those first and the junk later.
I was so drained already, I was beyond lazy! Unfortunately for me, mom texted me to cook today, which drained me even more!
I obeyed my mother's wish and without being asked, Seth helped me prepare the food. He chopped and washed dishes, sat with me even when he didn't have to. He was just so romantic and helpful.
"So babe, what are you doing this winter break?" Seth asked me.
"Uhm, we're going to DC. What about you?" I asked back.
"Mom wants us to go to Brazil. So I think that's it." He brushed his hair back.
"You excited?"
"Not at all. I'll be away from you for three weeks! That's plain misery." He said.
"We'll Skype or FaceTime everyday babe. I'll miss you too." I made a sad face and he blew me a kiss. We both laughed, until a tall black haired guy walked in.
I couldn't believe my eyes until I noticed his face as he looked towards the kitchen. It was Blair, my step brother.
