Seth and I kept giving each other eye contacts and a few people noticed. We'd sit next to each other in every class we had together and as expected, the gossips got jealous but I wasn't up for entertaining them.

I managed to rush to French class and luckily, Miss Valentine had stepped out. Seth managed to leave a spot for me. He waved, showing that he saved me a seat. So I sat next to him without saying a word.

"Hey beautiful. Do you have an extra pencil?" He whispered to me..

After French class, Seth and I went for different classes, I went for Business Studies and he went for Geography. I knew immediately that I needed to talk to my other best friend, Tamera, because I knew I'd get the best advice from her.

I knew I liked Seth, but I didn't know if I were ready for a relationship or not, but it was about time I moved on and dated. Tamera told me to tell Seth how I feel because he's 'super hot'. It wasn't about the looks for me, Seth was just generally a sweetheart and I fell for him too quick!

"Honestly Madd, if you really like him, let him know. We both know that all the girls want him, but it's pretty obvious he wants you."

"Yeah Tam, I just don't want to get hurt you know? I've been hurt enough." I say to her looking down. And that was when I realized that Business class was over. The day was going by too fast!

"I swear I haven't seen you since 'Pretty Boy' came here. How are you doing babe?" Tyler said as he hugged me

I smiled as I noticed that I missed Tyler, "Hiya best friend! I've missed you so much!" And I hugged him.

"So, are you his girlfriend yet?" He asked

"What!?" I spit out the water in my mouth. "What the hell Ty! We're only friends. We grew up together and we've only been catching up." I say, trying to defend myself. Instead, he laughs. My best friend is the cutest, funniest and craziest!

"I only asked you a simple question Madd, seems like you're already into him." He gave me a naughty smile and I found myself smiling too. "He asked to see me during lunch, at the court." I added.

"Really? You gonna go? What if he's an alien or a zombie and eats your brain?" We laugh super loud till I cried. My best friend is also dramatic.

"Yeah," I say after some time, "I am going to go." I seemed to notice his smile fade but I didn't understand why. "Okay then," he adds standing and I stand up too "I'll see you later babe. You should let me know if you need a ride home alright?" I not as he kisses my forehead and walks away.

It was lunch and I rushed to my locker, noticing Seth walk up the stairs to the basketball court. I snapped into reality and making sure no one notices me follow Seth up the court. I walked slowly, overthinking what exactly would happen and what to expect.

"Oh my-" I gasped, in total shock of what I'm seeing. Seth had a green and red checkered picnic blanket, chicken burgers and drinks. I was so happy. I remembering our little family picnics at the beach, usually during vacation. I was pleased with Seth and the effort he had put in this 'lunch date'.

"Seth, you didn't have to go through so much for me." I say, trying to take everything in.

"Don't worry beautiful. I'm so glad you came" he said rubbing his hands, looking at me as if he's speeches. "Please, sit down. I hope it's not too much."

"No, no," I interrupt. "I love this, it's really beautiful. Thank you. I actually am really hungry!" With that, we both laugh.

We spent the entire time talking about how life in New Castle was and how much he missed picking on me. I laughed most of the time because we spoke about the past.
The young Seth was adorable. The current Seth was mature yet playful and I really fell for him.

After our lunch, 10 minutes before class, we packed up. And began to walk for class.

"Thanks again Seth. Nobody's ever really done this for me. I appreciate it." I gave him a smile and hugged him. I know, I'm such a hugger.

"You're welcome Maddy. I sure do enjoy your company." He hugged me back, tighter. And I turned around but he stopped me. "I know it's too soon, we recently reunited and I can't stop thinking about you. Your smile, your voice, you. I really have fallen for you. I've liked you ever since we were kids. Seeing you on the first day made me realize how hung up I am over you. What I'm trying to say, or ask is-" he comes closer to me "Will you be my girlfriend? I promise I'll make you happy. Patch up for the years we weren't together." He holds my hand waiting for a response.

"I-I.." I stammer, lost of words. I look into his eyes "Yes. I'll be your girlfriend Seth. Just try not to hurt me okay?" I pass a faint smile and kiss his cheek.

"Thank you. I won't make you regret it." He says as we hug and walk to class.

My day had been eventful as usual. I was on my bed as I contemplated how my life is yet to change. But was I grateful in knowing how he really feels about me? Was I happy? Was I content with knowing the truth about his feelings?

That night, Seth texted me good night and said he's got a plan for our first date.

To be honest, I wasn't used to having a boyfriend that is so kind and interest in me. I knew that because I liked Seth, and he wasn't really a stranger. I had to adjust to the affection he's letting out. Good things really do come to those who least expect it.

With all the positivity, I had a good nights sleep.
