Chapter 9: Break A Leg!

I've skipped a few weeks and went straight to the weekend where Maddy sleeps over at Seth and Khalisi's house. I hope you enjoy!

Today was Seth's birthday and I didn't know what to get him. My mom and aunt Grace had already agreed that I can sleep over at their home for the weekend and I was excited. I knew Seth would fetch me earlier because Khalisi had to lie and say we're having lunch to get Seth to leave the house.

While Seth was on his way to fetch me, Khalisi and I made sure all his friends were aware of the plan. We booked the whole restaurant at Thyme, hoping that Seth would be satisfied.

That Saturday, I was home alone. Mom had left to do her hair and nails and dad was always at work. I wake up and cleaned the house and texted Seth to come over. After 20 minutes, he was outside.

I opened the door and noticed him seated in his car. I smile to myself and finally speak, "Hey Cupcake! I need your help with my bag." I shouted

I saw him smile and mess his hair. When he stepped out of the car, I was breath taken by his exit. He looked absolutely gorgeous. He wore a white baseball t-shirt which hugged his arms so well with an addition to his navy blue jeans and vans to finish his look. I couldn't stop staring at him. I only had my high rise jeans on and a bra, hiding behind the door.

"You're still not dressed! Gosh you're such a girl." He said as he took off his shades.

"Relax! I'm almost done." I defend myself, grabbing my phone and rushed upstairs, covering my bust for Seth.

My phone buzzed and it was a text from Khalisi.

Please stall Seth. Just 20 more minutes. Finalizing a few things here. xxo

I immediately texted "Okay" because it was the only thing I could type back after Seth knocked on my door. I quickly took my black crop top and wore it before he walked in.

"Hmm. This room is quite sweet." He said staring at my room. "Come here." He walked slowly towards me and I met him with my tiny steps to him. He held my hips, moved his hands to my back pocket and slip his hands in, gripping my butt then he leaned in and kissed me, the same hungry way but more, more intense, more sincere and more loving. I couldn't read through it. Had he fallen for me or had he already fallen for me?

"Happy birthday Cupcake." Despite my thoughts, I kissed him with love.

After making out passionately, we stopped, breathing was intense and we couldn't stop looking at each other. After our little session, we left my room and went downstairs, both of us speechless.

He carried my bag to his car and opened the door for me.

"Thanks Cupcake." I say

"What's with the 'Cupcake' babe?" He asked

"Well, since you wanted a pet name, Cupcake is perfect."

He giggled, "Why 'Cupcake' though?" He looked at me shortly

"Because you're sweet-," I looked at him

"Yeesss?"

"And I'm never going to share you." I kissed his cheek

"So beautiful, where exactly are we going?"

"Oh, yeah. Almost forgot. You and I are having lunch at Thyme." I say as I flip my hair to the right.

Ten minutes later, we arrived at the restaurant and I got out of the car, excited and grabbed his hand. Pushed the door open and saw everyone, behind me, was Seth, who had absolutely no clue about this. He walked in after me, noticing my smile.

"SURPRISE!!!" Everyone screamed. It was beautiful! There was a slideshow of all his childhood pictures and New Castle pictures.

We all enjoyed the party and I managed to sneak out and get Seth a birthday gift. I decided to give it to him later because everyone crowded him. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I answered quickly without checking the caller ID.

"Hello?" I answered

"Hey babe. Where are you?" It was Seth!

"I'm outside. I just went out for fresh air." Really? Fresh air? "I'll be right there though. You okay?" My guilt of lies killing me.

"Yeah. I just want you here. Hurry back please?"

"You have fun. We've got all weekend. I'm coming." I hang up.

Seth's party was a success and we all had fun. Both moms had gone to Calabasas for the weekend for a retreat which meant Seth, Khalisi and I were left home alone. Great!

Seth drove us home and we were tired. When we arrived home, we all took showers. I was downstairs in the guest bedroom but I also had the option to bunk in with Khalisi. Typical girl sleep over but without the hot boyfriend brother.

"If you need anything just tell me okay?" Seth said as he left the guest bedroom.

"Thanks Cupcake." I waited for him to leave and close the door.

I entered the spacious bathroom decorated with caramel tiles and a huge mirror to compliment the room. I stepped in the shower and refreshed. When I did usher with my shower, Khalisi entered, letting me know that Geordie Shore is up next.

"I'll be out in a minute!" I said to her.

I wore my pajamas shorts and a loose Hello Kitty t-shirt. I tied my hair up, took Seth's gift in my hand and left the room. Seth was in the kitchen making tea and I stood by the counter, admiring his physique. He didn't notice me until he turned around.

"And how long exactly have you been standing there?" I asked me with that British accent he had.

I blushed, "Just about a minute." I walk towards him and hug him. It wasn't just any hug, it was a hug of appreciation and confusion because I didn't know if he had fallen for me the same way I had been falling for him. I finally pull back and look at him.

"I feel loved." He kissed my forehead. "I'm so happy you're here. Would you like some tea? Anything to eat?" He added

"That's because you are. Tea would be lovely, thank you." I pause, "It's nothing fancy or over the top but it's something, happy birthday once again. Finally 18." I hand him a navy, close to black Tommy Hilfiger watch with his name engraved on the belt on one side and mine on the other.

"This is the most beautiful gift I could ever ask for. Thank you Maddy. I love it, but not as much as I love you." We both stopped to realize what he had just said and he held me so close to him as if he was afraid I'd let go.

"And I love you Cupcake." I kiss and and take my tea. "Let's get going, I don't want to miss the whole show!" We laugh and walk into the lounge.

By the time we sat down on the couch, Khalisi had already blacked out. I woke her up as calm as I could and told her to go sleep because she had had a long day and she had done a lot. I felt bad for her and so, I walked her to her room.

"Thanks Madd. Love you, see you tomorrow." She suddenly fell asleep, slowly, but all at once.
