"So what do we tell everyone?" I asked as we walked towards the house. We were still to far out to be heard by anyone, and I had my shield around us for protection from Edward. "Well, what did you do after left the house?" "I ran after Jacob." "Is there anything you said to him that could make you seem suspicious?" she asked, and it clicked. "Cliff diving." I told her. "So you need to be wet?" she asked, and I nodded, before running off towards the deepest par of the river only a few miles down. I dived in, before getting back out. "Wet enough?" I asked, and she nodded, so I let my shield go, before we walked back to the house at human speed.

"Bella?" Esme asked, as I got closer to the house. I looked up at her on the second floor, her soft face pale. I couldn't imagine what memories this was resurfacing. I sighed, looking over at Alice, who had hold of my hand. She nodded, allowing me to go. I began slowly walking up the stairs, hoping my body looked almost heavily. When I finally got to Esme, she was sitting on the white couch, hands clasped around her knee. "You know," she started. "This is where I wish I was human. I think a tea would be lovely in this weather." "I would join you in that." I told her, before I sat down next to her, becoming as low as I felt. "We will be ok Bella." She told me. "You wont ever forget her." I sat there, thinking. What would I said if it was seven years ago? "I thought we got passed this." I muttered. "They knew we weren't a threat." My adopted mother placed her arm around me, allowing me to lean up against her hard body. "I know, we all thought that." She told me. We stayed like that until I heard it.

A wail.

It wasn't just any wail, but a baby's cry for attention. I raced up the stairs, and into the nursery, to find Carlisle already there, his back to me, slowly rocking. "She's ok Bella," he reassured me, as I stood there panicking. I couldn't believe it. I forgotten about Chloe and J.J. In just hours everything had changed. New members came into our family, and yet one was stolen from us. I walked closer to her, so I could see her face. She didn't seem like she was only hours old, unlike her brother who did. She was quiet now, her eyes wide open, just like Renesmee was when she was born. I sighed, Renesmee. I thought. Please baby, please be safe. Know that I'm coming to save you. "There we go." Carlisle whispered, laying the sleeping baby back down. He placed her back down next to her brother, who took her hand when she was back by his side. "They have each other, and they have us. We'll be fine." He told me, now standing to face me, as I looked down at my grandchildren. Wow, grandchildren. 25 years old and I have grandchildren. "Bella?" Edward asked softly, so I turned to face him. He was standing by the door, looking at me with his soft and careful eyes. "They're going to be just fine."
