"Renesmee," voices whispered. "Wake up." I opened my eyes to see Alec standing over me. "Someone's here to see you." I sat up, and he held out the black robe that the voltori gave me. "Who is it?" I asked, but he kept quiet. He had one of his hands extended, and I could see shimmering nothing on the floor. "Don't scream, it's protecting us." He told me, and I closed my mouth. "My sister is under my control, she can't see, can't hear." He explained, and as if to prove it I heard her shout out her brother's name as she woke.

"What are you doing?" "Helping you out," he explained as we walked the halls, just like we did last night. "Someone is here to help you home." He told me, before opening the door to the main hall. I stood there, looking at the two women in front of me. They were both dressed in black leather, with hats each. "Mum, Alice!" I whisper-shouted, running over to them. I got to mum's arms first, allowing myself to melt in her embrace. "I knew you would come." I told her, letting my tears go. "Bella, we don't have much time." Alice warned, and I looked up at her. I pressed my hand to her face, keeping my other arm around my mother. "It's good to see you too Ness." Alice smiled, holding my hand, after I showed her what I wanted.

"You should go. My sister will soon gather other's from the Guard." Alec told us. "Come with us. You can get away from this place." I told him, stepping closer to him. "Renesmee." My mum and Aunt warned. "Mum, you don't understand. Alec isn't horrible. He's being treated like a slave." I told her, before turning to my new friend. "Come with us. You can leave this life, start anew. Start with us. Everything you want." "I don't know Renesmee-" "You told me how you feel about this life, how much you hate it. What you're pushed to do. This is your chance to leave. You don't have to be a monster." I told him, using part of his speech he told me.

"ALEC! STOP THEM!" a voice shouted, and I turned to see Felix running at us. "Stay." He whispered to me, before he stopped his fellow guard member with his power. Felix stopped still, and I realised he had created a ring around us, with him on the outside. "What are you doing? You've trapped us." My mother shouted at him. "No, he's saving us." I whispered. "Bella let this play out." Alice told her as the rest of the Voltori clan ran at us, all of them. They were all stopped when they got to close, when they were caught in his silky web.

He slowly walked over to the fire torch on the wall, extending his right hand out while taking it with his left. "Stay still until it's over." He told me, before dropping the torch. It caught the end of the train, travelling back towards him like it was following gas. As it hit a voltori member, they would go up in flames. I quickly worked out what he was doing. "ALEC!" I screamed running to him, but my aunt grabbed my hand to hold me back. "I'm sorry." He whispered, and I watched him go up in flames.

"Alec, please." I begged, cradling his burnt body. The empty pale next to me, water all over the floor. "Renesmee, we have to go." Mum told me, and I placed his flaking body on the ground. "Thank you for everything." I told him, before standing up. "Let's go." Mum told me, taking my hand. We stepped over piles of ash, before walking out the door. "You ok Renesmee?" Alice asked me. I didn't want to say anything, she didn't know him properly, and she never would. They began walking me out a small hallway, then up a ladder until we found ourselves in the middle of a street. "The car is just around the corner." Mum told me, and I sighed. Was this what it felt like when humans lost loved ones?

I got in the car, and that's when I saw the black figure limping over to us. "Alec?" I whispered. "What?" Alice answered, but I was already getting out the car. I ran over to hurt vampire, putting his arm over my shoulders. "It's ok. I'll get you help. It's ok." I told him, helping to him to the car. "Bella, step on it, we need to get him home." My aunt told him while I let him lie on the back seat, his head in my lap. "It's ok." I told him, seeing his eyes close. I could see the tips of his fingertips somewhat forming back because of the venom, and I smiled. I looked out the window, watching the world of Italy in the darkness fly by.
