Chapter Forty-One: Explain **BPOV**

"Since you've been taken, Alice has tried her very best to make sure you've been as safe as possible." I explained, my daughter sitting next to me. "We had to trick the family into believe that you were a lost hope. Alice didn't know what was going to happen to you, but she did see if everyone left to get you, no-one would make it back." I saw Renesmee look down, her eyes watering. "Oh baby. It's ok." I hushed, pulling her in. "Can," she chocked, and I brushed her hair. "Can you tell me everything?"

"I told Bella everything. She's the best with keeping secrets." Alice spoke. "I only allowed myself to show your dad little clips of visions. I had to fake quite a lot over the past week. I could see Aro, deciding every day a different outcome. He was always expecting us to show up." She paused. "I was watching a few others in the guard, Alec included." "Then you can see he doesn't want this. He's like us." She piped in, and Alice nodded. Now I was lost. Renesmee saw this, and placed her hand on mine.

"Aro wants to talk to you." Alec's voice spoke, but all that was seen was an arm. Renesmee's arms. "Renesmee I don't want to hurt you, can you please just look to me?" the voice was soft, and the eye line moved. His red eyes were soft, caring. A hand came into view, and he held it there. "I know, it's why I'm trying to save you."

The memory faded, and I saw my daughter looking at me. "He saved me." she spoke. "He's not like them, he doesn't like this world. He drinks animal blood." I had no words to say. "Renesmee, we need you to trust us for a little longer, ok." Alice spoke, and I knew what she was going to say. This was my idea. "We need you to go into hiding for a day. Give you enough time to 'escape' from the voltori." "What? Why?" "The building has burnt down." I explained. "You got out. But if your home before everyone, it won't make scents." "What about Alec?" "There's a house that we can take him to. Take you both too." Alice spoke. "But we have to go tonight." "Can't I leave something for Jacob. I need him to know I'm alive. I'm safe." "You'll see him in two days. Just two more days and we can come back together." "You're coming with me?" she asked, and I nodded.

"I'm meant to be with my family. It was your dad's way of getting me to leave so he could find you." I told her. "Two days?" she asked, and I nodded. She smiled, agreeing to follow us. "It's for the best sweetie." "I just have one question." She muttered, looking down. "What is it?" "Why did you plan it like this? Why kill the voltori?" both Alice and I laughed lightly. "We don't give out second chances." Alice explained. Renesmee smirked, realising that we gave them a dose of their own medicine. However, we didn't plan for the whole clan to perish.
