Chapter fourty-Six: Heading home **ROPV**

Waking up the next morning was strange, seeing a room I wasn't use to. Leaving the room, I could hear someone moving around. "Did you need any help at all?" a male spoke, and my eyes lightened. Alec was awake. Walking into the lounge, I managed to catch a glimpse of his face. I was shocked, I thought venom could fix everything. "No not really, I think we're all ready to go anyway." Alice spoke, and they both looked over at me, seeing that I had joined them. "Good morning Renesmee, how are you?" Alec smiled, just like he did every morning for the past week. "Perfect." I smiled, walking over and hugging him. "Now I know you better." He hugged me back, before we let each other go.

I looked up at his face, looking at how it re-formed. It almost suited him, his cheeks slightly hollowed against the bone structure. It was like his skin had been pulled tight. He obviously had cleaned up, and changed clothes as he was no longer in the black robes, but in dark jeans and a jumper. "Horrible?" he asked, and I shook my head before showing him I liked the look. It made him look new, different. I lowered my hand when I heard mum enter.

"Ness, we need to tell you what's happening." She stated, and I saw both Alice and Alec sit down. I sat down next to Alec on the couch, while mum balanced on the arm of the chair that Alice had chosen. "Alice and I are driving back to Forks in an hour, to get home later this afternoon. Once we arrive home Alice is going to call the house phone, letting you know to start making your way home." "How?" I asked her. "You would have taken the car." "You run." Alice explained. "The story is, with the help of Alec, You both burnt the building down to allow time to get away." "So I kill the Voltori?" I asked, feeling like that was wrong. "No. I did." Alec stepped in. "I killed them, I set the fire. I just get you out before I do so." I didn't like that he was taking the blame, but it was the truth. He did set the fire. It would also make sense to why he looks how he does. "From there, with no cash or clothes, you would have run for home." "Can we say we stole a car or something? To get home sooner?" "Your dad would see you lied." Mum stated, "We have to keep the story as close to the truth as possible." "But why? Once I'm home they wouldn't care."

"Ness, baby." Mum sighed. "Your dad and Jake are taking this all pretty hard. And if either knew that we had been planning this all week they would have asked why we didn't take them to come save you." "So you did all this to save them, I get that." I explained. "What I don't get is why we can't steal something to get home quicker." "Because, we don't want to draw any more attention to your family, or me." Alec explained. "I just straight up killed a whole clan. Others would start wondering why, would assume that you are up to something. If the world sees it as a break out it's seen like the Voltori were under control and it backfired." He explained.

I sadly agreed, I just wanted to see my Jacob. I wanted to be home again. "We'll be home soon. Then everything can go back to how it was." Mum explained, getting up and kissing my forehead. I leant into her body, sighing.
