Mitch's POV

Around three weeks pass. Nothing much happens, other then my miserable life. School is alright. Lachlan and his group of friends are nice people, other then Matt. The group made him apologise, which he did so halfheartedly. I accepted it even though I know he didn't mean it. The jocks haven't done anything to me yet, though everyday, I catch myself looking at Jerome. There is something about him, and I don't know what. I know I shouldn't like someone like him. He is straight as a stick while I'm as straight as rainbow.

Music is definitely my favourite subject. The group and I haven't done any work yet, well, they haven't. I've already written something we could potentially use if the teacher wanted to see, though, they don't know this. It's not very good, but it will do. During the period, we just sit down and talk. Well, they do, I just sit there and listen and input if someone asks me a direct question. I'm a good listener, but definitely not a talker.

Everyday they ask me to play something on the piano. I always play a different song, to please them. Jess even gave me her violin and told me to play something, so I did. Once again, I shocked them into silence. It made me laugh a little, a real laugh, something I haven't done in a very long time. They are starting to build me back up again. But they will never complete the process. I can't trust them enough yet. I've only known them for a few weeks.

Though, trust is starting to break its way through. I gave everyone in the group my phone number because Lachlan asked for it. Now I'm in a massive group chat with them which is awesome. When I get home, we all instantly start texting eachother. When I'm texting them, I feel much more comfortable because I'm not actually facing them. They've noticed this too, especially rob.

Rob, Preston and I have grown closer too. They are both hilarious boys and can change my mood in an instant. They are also very caring and are worried about me if I'm upset. Rob is a very observant person, and Preston is always asking if I'm ok. I haven't told any of them about my cutting or depression yet. Though, I think they both know and Lachlan obviously does. The two of them seem almost too good to be true. If Lachlan isn't in my class, it's one of them, or Adam, so I always have someone I know with me. Vikk is also a nice guy, just like the rest of them. Though, he seems to be more quiet then Lachlan. The two of them are dating as they said before. They are so cute.

Adam and Alesa are also dating. They have been for a few years. I can see the love in their eyes when they look at each other, it's really sweet. Adam was saying that he is planing to propose to her when we graduate next year which is adorable. Adam is very hyperactive but serious when he needs to be. He has a job as a youtuber and playing games. Apparently he has like 11 million subscribers which is amazing. Wow, I have a famous friend. Ha, that's interesting.  Adam also introduced me to his other group of friends during a class we were all in together. They are just as cool.

A boy named Brice is a very talented artist. He has golden hair that somehow defies Gravity. Like Lachlan, he is from Australia. Then there is a small boy named Seto. Seto is...mysterious.  He is quiet but confident in a way. He never says anything unless he has a point to make. He is very talented at Latin and is currently learning five other ancient languages. There were a couple others but I don't remember who they are.

My father came home the other day. It was nice. We both got to work on finishing unpacking everything. Now the house is fully furnished. It was weird though, near the end, he made me go to my room. I was confused, as I thought I had done something wrong. When he called me back down again, he led me into a room I had never seen before. He made me close my eyes and when I opened them I was shocked.

In that room was almost every musical instrument in an orchestra, such as a flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, drums, violin, cello, viola, guitar, keyboard,  and in the very centre of the room was a brand new, black grand piano. The instruments were in their cases in a cupboard or on stands. There is a bookcase dedicated to music I've written and books of music pieces by other artists.  In the corner was a desk with everything I could ever need to write my music. He also bought me a new laptop with a very expensive program for me to compose my music.

There, In the door of the room, I literally broke down in tears. I didn't deserve all of this. The money in this room is worth more then I am! I jumped up  and hugged him with all my strength. I knew he had money, but fucking hell! I pulled back and looked at him confused causing him to laugh. "I got a promotion at work a while ago. I'm the CPO now." He said. I instantly went through the entire room looking through every single thing.   I was about to tell him that I'm not worth this. But he instantly stopped me.

"You deserve this Mitch. You work so hard, for hours upon end. I am very proud of you, and so would your mother." He said, making me burst out crying. I ran over to him and soak his shirt with tears. That night we talked about my new school over dinner I made. I ate because dad made me. He knows I have depression but not about my scars. It was disappointing though, because he left again a couple days ago. He said he won't be back for a few months, but will be here for the concert that I told him about. More tears were shed when he left. But he left me something I don't deserve. I don't deserve this much money being spent on me. Though, I'm definatly going to  use that room. I'm probably going to live in it cause I'll be in there almost all the time.

Right now, I'm sitting at lunch, laughing a little at Adams stupidity. We are having a heated debate on pizza vs burgers. Adam slams his first down on the table making me flinch. "No way, pizza is life!" He yells. "Yeah, but if you eat pizza for the rest of your life, you'll die from how much grease and fat is in it. It'll clog up your arteries. Eventually You'll die from a heart attack of you eat it 24/7." Preston counter attacks. The group is torn. Preston, Matt, Jess and Vikk have chosen burgers, while Lachlan, Adam, Alesa, Ryan, Rob have sided with pizza. Im just siting there watching them fight. I haven't chosen or been asked.

"Screw you and your judgement. I don't need intelligence when I have pizza." Adam jokes, making them laugh. I smile lightly. Lachlan judges me lightly, causing me to look at him. "What do you choose Mitch? No pressure or anything." He says. Everyone looks at me, waiting to see what I say. The fate of this world is in my hands. If I pick pizza Matt will be an ass, and if I pick burgers Adam will go hyperactive. Such a big decision.

"I pick burgers." I say bluntly. The pizza people groan and Preston reaches over the table and gives me a high five. The bell goes causing us to stand and walk toward our classes. I'm with Adam, Preston and Rob for science. The conversation still goes on between us. We walk down the hall. The boys still arguing. I listen intently, afraid to miss a word.

Then suddenly, something cold hits my face. It makes me stop walking and close my eyes. It runs down my back and comes into my mouth. I spit it out. That's definitely a slushy. I knew this was going to fucking happen! I knew that I was going to get beaten up. I gasp and open my eyes to see three jocks looking at me and laughing. And one of them is Jerome, and he isn't laughing. Some students stand around and laugh too.

Adam, Rob and Preston instantly stop and look at me. I raise my arms which are soaked with pink slushy. Tears start to form in my eyes as people continue laughing. Sadness and embarrassment floods my heart, threatening for me to break down at any moment. So I run down the hallway and into the bathroom. A second later the boys join me. I look in the mirror above the sink and look at my scrawny, wet face. I blink, a tear falls then another.

I turn the sink on and wash my face, getting the cold liquid out of my hair.  Tears start streaming down my face and whimpers escape my throat. Adam hands me paper towel. I take it and wipe my face down. "You ok man?" He asks softly. I shake my head. My black and red checkered hoodie is soaked completely and so is the front of my shirt since I unzipped it.   Rob starts to take it off but I instantly pull back, eyes wide. It's quite warm today, so I only wore a t-shirt. They'll see my scars. I can't let them see my scars. They'll think I'm a freak and mental. They can't know!

Pure fear runs through my face and rob pulls back seeing this. "You should take it off bro, It's soaked." He says calmly. I back up and lean against a cubical door. Thank god we are the only ones in here. I shake my head furiously, looking down. "I-I can't." I whisper. No one talks for a moment. Tears fall down my face. "Adam, rob, leave." Preston says. I hear the shuffling of feat and the bathroom opening and closing. Preston walks up to me. He looks at me for a moment, nothing but silence can be heard.

"Lachlan told me." He says quietly, putting a hand on my shoulder. My eyes widen causing me to look up at him. I knew I couldn't trust anyone. He sighs and takes his jacket off and hands it to me. Then, that's when I see it.
