Like, how the fuck has this book got so many reads when I only started it a few weeks ago?! It's insane!

Mitch's POV

Then a doctor walks into the room, looking at us with worry. We are all still in tears. It's been around 10 minutes since I told them my past. I'm starting to regret it now, but I know I can't go back. The doctor smiles sadly and grabs the board at the end of my bed.

"Hello, Mr Hughes. I'm doctor Belinda. How you feeling?" She asks in a sad tone, looking up. I sigh. "Like shit." I answer. She nods and walks up to the heart monitor. Lachlan and Vikk move out of the way so she can do whatever she needs to do. "So, when you got here, we stitched up the wounds on your arms and your calves. You lost so much blood, we ended up having to give you a blood transfusion." She says stepping back and observing me. I nod weakly.

"By the looks of it, you should be out of here in couple days. We need to monitor your progress. Also, I'm sorry to say this, but your legs may never heal properly, They will scar." She says. My face pales and heart drops. I look down to my hands. Great, I can't believe I did that to myself! But I was drunk off of the feeling. It felt amazing. It was by far the best pain I've ever felt, apart from the grater.

"Your going to have to use a wheelchair for a couple of weeks." She says, walking back over to the end of the bed and grabbing something else out of the folder. "I'm going to put you on Anti-Depressants too." She says, writing something down in the book. I cough a little.

"They don't work on me. I already have them." I say tiredly. She stops writing and looks up. "Have you ever actually taken them?" She asks, bringing the pen to her lips. I frown but don't say anything. I have the drug but don't actually use it. She sigh and starts to write again. "Mitchell, if you want them to work, you need to actually take them." She says. I nod in shame. She sighs a tired sigh and puts everything back and walks up to draw, pulling out some bandages.

"Ok boys, your going to have to leave. I need to change his bandages and to do some exercises. Could one of you possibly stay and help?" She asks. Jerome instantly volunteers. The others give me a sad smile which I return. They leave, saying that they will come back when we are done.

So, with great difficulty, I sit up on the uncomfortable bed, legs painfully swinging off the edge. As the doctor takes off  my bandages on my calves, Jerome holds my hand, tracing patterns on it trying to distract me. Oh god Jerome is such an amazing person. I can't believe he saved my life. I had no idea that he cared so much about me. I owe him my life. I owe him everything I cannot give. Then an idea pops I my head. I smile a little at the thought. I set a reminder for myself in my mind to make sure I do that.

Once the doctor has completed unwrapping my calves, I dare to take a glimpse at the damage. Great big red lines litter the mussel.  Many have stitches in them. I instantly look away and bite my lip. She makes me move my feet and whatnot. It's extremely painful, but with Jerome's hand intertwined with mine, I feel safe.

Eventually, my whole body has a new layer of bandage over it. I think the scariest thing seeing was the scares on my lower arm. It's hard to believe I did that to myself. What's even more remarkable though is that I managed to play piano after doing so! Oh god, my piano. The once pure white keys are probably now a light shade of blood. I'm probably going to haves to get a professional to clean it.

I groan in pain as I lay back down on the bed, tears forming in my eyes. Jerome supports my back as I do so.The Doctor then wheels my bed into a private room since I have private health insurance. Thanks dad. Speaking of whom, does he know about this? Oh god, what is he going to think?!
