"Finally!" Jordan exclaimed, staring at the gleaming city. The sun was just setting, and all the magnificent glowing lights on the skyscrapers had filled the sky.
Of course, once again, they could he the ruckus of cars beeping and the blur of strange sounds. But Jordan was glad to be back, and didn't mind it. "I told you I knew the path home!" Katie chirped, as she ran towards her house.
Jordan suddenly sensed an odd presence, quickly cranking his head towards the trees behind him. Something was not right. "Katie." He warned. "Don't move." Just then, an arrow wooshed past his face. Katie whipped around and glanced at Jordan in shock, screaming at him to move to the right.
He did as instructed, and once again, an arrow nearly hit him. He heard a rustling in the trees once more, and in the corner of his eye, he could see the silhouette of a person. Another arrow landed just in front of Katie. "What is this crap?! Show yourselves!" Jordan yelled and the unknown creatures.
A masked figure hopped down from the trees, unleashing its sword from its sheath. Jordan quickly reached for his sword, and went into defense position. A large clang of metal filled the area. "What do you want." Jordan questioned sternly.
The creature swung its sword again, refusing to answer the question. Jordan dodged it, as he heard Katie cry in distress. He turned around and saw her being pinned down by another figure. A tear tickled down her cheek as she struggled to get away.
Jordan charged towards the creature and tackled it down. He pulled of the person's mask, and a familiar blonde haired girl stared at him with her amber eyes. "Y-you!" Jordan stuttered. "What-who-why are you doing this?"
The girl giggled uncontrollably, her thick eyelashes fluttering innocently. "Oh Jordy, you know the answer to that." She commented, before crying for help. Jordan frowned at the girl's obnoxious response.
"Bloody hell, woman. Just tell me. Why are you targeting us?" He demanded. "Is that the reason you tried to make friends with Tom? I'm telling you, if you get my friends into this, I swear I will-" Jordan suddenly felt a sharp pain in his back, as his body went rigid.
The same masked man grabbed Jordan by his shirt, placing a bloody dagger near his neck. "Never threaten my sister like that, ya hear, boy?" He snarled, releasing Jordan. Jordan lay in the large pool of his own blood, watching as the man walked towards Katie, watching in utter shock.
"Katie..." Jordan managed to say, yet his voice was strained. "Run... Find the others..." Katie shook her head, as a dozen tears flowed on her face. The masked creature let out a deep laugh. "Katie..." He begged. "GO..!" With that, Katie hesitantly ran towards the city, the masked man trailing behind her. The blonde haired lady, walked towards Jordan, smirking as she did so.
"Nighty night, Jordy."

Katie's POV
Oh my gosh. No. This isn't happening. I kept on telling myself, as I ran towards my house. The man was still chasing me, but I was still fast enough to lose him. I just needed to confuse him. I feel guilty as heck leaving Jordan like that.
His face... He was so scared... Not for himself, but for me. Why did leave him? He is good as dead by now! He was hurt! I brushed the thought away. No. Jordan is strong. He'll make it. I just know it. Now Katie, all you have to do is find the others, and everything will be okay... I stopped for a few seconds to catch my breath, and quickly turned around, hoping I lost the guy.
He was nowhere to be seen. That was a good sign. Now all I have to do is- My thoughts were cut short when a felt a tug on my arm. I whipped around, coming face to face with the masked figure. I tried to scream, but the man cover my mouth. "Hello there, dear. Care for a trip?" He purred. I furrowed my eyebrows, my hands slowly approaching the daggers Ianite gave me.
I'm tired of being this defenseless, weak, girl everyone expects me to be. It's time to fight. I pulled away from the man, swirling around and slipping away from his grip. I grabbed one of the daggers, and flicked it towards him. He instantly dodged it and pulled out his sword. Well just fabulous. 8/8, Kate.
I threw another dagger, and I nearly got a hit on him. He flinched slightly, as his mask fell to the ground below. I gasped in shock at what I saw. This doesn't make any sense. "J-Jordan..?" I whispered. He cursed silently to himself, glancing at me.
A large grin formed on his face, as he slowly approached me. "Y-yeah, sorry to scare you Kate, I forgot to tell you I beat that weirdo back there." He explained. I searched his chest for the injury the man had given him just minutes before. Jordan would never call me Kate, and his hair wouldn't suddenly turn blonde. That is not Jordan.
He extended his arms out towards me, and I hesitantly embraced it. I needed to gain his trust, and when the time came, I'd run. I kicked him in the you-know-where and ran for it. I could hear him screaming behind me, yet I refused to turn around and look. His screams seemed to become more distant, as I ran into my house.
I could see Tom and James on the couch, while Sonja was in Tucker's arms sleeping. All heads turned towards me as I entered the room. They were shocked but somewhat happy for my return. "Where is Jordan..?" The supposed sleeping Sonja asked groggily.
Everyone's facial emotions instantly changed, knowing something was wrong. "H-he-he's out th-ere... W-we got to f-f-find him..." Everyone grabbed their weapons and headed outside. I was about to go along before I was held back.
"You aren't going anywhere Katie. Not when I'm here." A familiar voice declared. I turned around, looking at my older brother, tears staining his pale face. "Don't go. You can't." He begged, grabbing me for a hug.
"B-but Jor-" I began, but was cut off by Shawn.
"He's not important. All that matters is that you are safe. You know what mom-" He tried to explain, but I interrupted him just like he did to me. I narrowed my eyes at him, frowning. He just doesn't understand! Jordan means so much more than he thinks. They didn't just attack us for no reason.
"I don't care what mom and dad said! Jordan is just as important, Shawn. I can't leave him." I responded, walking away. I need to know why these people are trying to get Jordan. Shawn grabbed my arm again, and I glared at him, obviously annoyed.
"If you are going, I'm going too." He said, putting on his coat. Oh my god, thank goodness. At least I know I have my brother behind my back. Now all we have to do is find Jordan. But why Jordan? And if they are targeting Jordan, that means... Oh no. The others.
"Shawn, come on." I demanded, running out the door.
