It's been a while since the last time Martha and Wag sat beside each other just to relax. Ever since they got here, they've been separated and rarely spoke. Martha would always be taking care of Andor and Jordan, while Wag spoke to this brothers, searching for a cure.

His brothers brought up something the other day that had him thinking...

Wag threw the spell book his brothers gave him on the desk in annoyance. "Hey, those are forbidden and limited books, James." Matt told him. "Treat em' with respect. They have a mind of their own..." His whispered the last part, petting his spell book.

Wag rolled his eyes and leaned back on his chair, head up, looking at the ceiling. Tom turned around from all his herbs, concerned for his younger brother. "Nothing yet?" He tried to asked. Wag just shook his head in disappointment.

Tom but his lip. "Hey, you're not gonna get it instantly. Even Phil or Matt can't find it." He added. Wag shrugged. There was so much going on in his mind, that he just couldn't concentrate.

He thought maybe he was just stressed out. He wished he could turn back time, to the good old days. (WHEN OUR MAMA SANG US TO SLEEP BUT NOW WE'RE STRESSED OUT)

When Martha and him would just talk, or maybe when he was out adventuring and creating new spells in Ruxomar. He couldn't say he didn't miss those builds they made in Mianite years before.

Wag sighed, returning to all the spells. "Maybe you need a break." Phil advised, patting him on his shoulder.

Wag shook his head in disapproval. "I can't do that. Not when I'm so close." Wag murmured, reading the 200th book today. No kidding. Matt lifted a brow, and managed a smile.

"You're practically where you were from the start." Tom told him a-matter-of-factly. A smile creeped up Wag's face, and he laughed in defeat.

"You can't blame a wizard for trying." He told his brothers, closing the spell book. "So why exactly do you guys stay down here and build when there's such a large city you can improve up there?" He asked, turning to his fellow Wizards.

Their groovy grins disappeared and were replaced with solemn looks. His brothers exchanged glances, hoping one would tell him sooner or later.

"Haven't you heard?" Matt whispered, suddenly serious. Wag raised a brow and shook his head. "All magic is forbidden here. You'd be arrested for witchcraft."

"Can't you just use magic to get out of the problem? Maybe brainwash 'em for a short while, or maybe teleport away?" Wag offered. All the Wizards shook their heads in disapproval. "Why not?"

"Trust me, James. We'd do exactly that if we could." Phil told him. Not Wag was just plain confused. Ten times as confused to be more specific. Phil realized the younger boy's confusion. "We're under a curse."

It took a moment for Wag to interpret what his brother just said. Okay. Wag's head just malfunctioned. "Wait what?! How, why, what the actual..." His voice faltered. "How can I help you guys?!"

"You can't. It's simply impossible without you getting the curse yourself." Tom murmured. Wag refused to sit here while his brothers and perhaps the other Wizards in this realm are suffering because of a stupid curse.

"It's a risk I'm willing to take."

Wag said sternly, standing up and grabbing a few of his spell books. His three brothers glared at him and pushed him back down. "No." They all said in harmony.

Wag sighed in false defeat. "Okay fine. How exactly did you get the curse anyways? I'm curious." He said innocently. The three wizards looked at him, wondering why he was suddenly interested.

"For the gods sake, I'll just tell him." Phil said. "The queen. It was for our safety, apparently." He added.

Wag groaned in frustration. "The queen?" Wag questioned, getting even more stressed. There was a queen now? "Who the heck is that?" His brothers gasped in disbelief.

"You do not know of the Tower Star?" Tom gasped. (I HAVE CREATED A BEAUTIFUL DEJA VU SCENARIO) Matt facepalmed, glaring at the blue robed wizard. Tom stared at him. "What?"

"I don't understand why we don't just kill it." Matt murmured. "It's just a stupid star-" Tom glared at him, cutting him off. Then he got up in Matt's face.

"FOR THE LAST TIME WE ARE NOT GONNA HURT HER." Tom yelled. This again? Wag thought. Wag took a step back. He knew this would not end well. Phil quickly went between the two and pushed them back.

"Just ignore these two." He told Wag. "Yes, the Tower Star is our queen. She prevents us from using magic too far away from our home base. We can't even get out of the city." He added, frowning at the thought.

Matt stepped up. "And this is why we should destroy it." He declared. Tom stepped up as well.

"This it, is a she, and is our queen, Matt." He scoffed. Matt rolled his eyes, and cracked his knuckles. Phil quickly grabbed Wag by the shoulders and led him into another room. From there, Phil explained.

"Look, James. I know you want to help. But it won't work." He said solemnly. "Trust me. I've tried before..." His voice faltered. Wag gave him a pitiful look. Phil told him not to think about it much, and it would just drive him insane if he didn't.

"Tom was the first to fall into the curse. He was a little too fond with the Tower Star." He began. "Matt and I didn't know where he was when we went to build things outside the city boundaries, not knowing he was trapped down here with the Tower Star."

"After a while, Matt and I found out, and we tried to help him. It didn't go so well. So... Now we're here." He continued. "So promise me out won't try to do anything stupid, okay James?" Wag nodded, even though part of him screamed to help.

So Wag got Martha that night, and went to find the cause of their curse. Yes, Wag brought Martha with him for backup. At first he was a little hesitant when he came across Martha when he was sneaking out, but it was simply impossible to hide something from her.

So he said he'd explain along the way. "So your trying to break the curse on your brothers, which is this Tower Star, which is at a place you don't know about..?" She asked, trying to interpret it. Wag just nodded. "So where exactly are we going?"

"I'm just going with my guts. It has to be somewhere underneath the tower, right?" He explained, as they got to the last floor. He began to lean against the walls, and Martha followed. Nothing. He even tried to do some x-ray spells to check for some hidden doors.

Was he not qualified to open the hidden passage? All he was were these weird symbols on the floor. None of them made sense. They seemed to be some sort of dark magic. Then it struck him. Forbidden magic... He remembered.

He didn't use dark arts in a long time. The last time he used it... He couldn't even think of the consequences. All that was running in his head was: Save my brothers. Save my brothers. Save my brothers.

He wasn't thinking everything through. They even warned him not to try. But he was so close. "Waggles?" Martha put her hand on his shoulder. "You alright?" Wag shook his head.

"Dark magic. It's the answer." He told her.

Martha took a step back. She shook her head in disapproval. "We can't use dark magic! Do you know how dangero-" She was shut off when Wag hushed her. He told her it was the only way.

Martha was right; using dark arts can corrupt you if you weren't careful and fully matured when it came to self-control. "I'm sorry Martha, know you don't like this, but I have to." He told her. Martha nodded solemnly. "Here we go."
