Jordan's POV
You can do this, Jordan. You can prevent all of this from happening. All the heartbreak, tears, and horrid nightmares. All of them will be gone. I told myself, before entering the nether portal.

"Sparklez..?" A muffled voice asked. As I came to my senses, a disgusting feeling filled my mouth. Scratch that; my whole body was aching. I woke up facedown with the burnt taste of netherrack on my tongue. Now you would think netherrack was disgusting itself.
But when combined with gritty soul sand, you will feel like you just had a taste of hell. Wait...
I struggled to sit up, my mouth still burning with the gross taste of soul sand. I could hear a chain of not-so-restrained laughs and mutters. I looked up, my eyes trailed to the source of the voices. Tom and Tucker were standing to my left, snorting like the pigs they are.
Their faces looked red, which made me surprised that Tom's sickly green face could turn that color. Skipper extended his hand out to help me up, a crooked smile forming on his face. He was definitely trying to hold in his laughter too.
"What happened, lad?" Skipper asked, trying to sound stern. "Never seen anyone pass out going through a nether portal before!" He began to chuckle, his loud, hearty laugh filling the area.
I rolled my eyes, but I was also curious why I had fainted myself. Usually I would be able to go through portals no problem, but now I feel lightheaded. Skipper was still extending his hand out, waiting for me to take it. I took it hesitantly, still a little dazed.
I stumbled onto my feet, though my legs were wobbly and were warning me I would collapse any second. "Hehe, ye must still be lightheaded from yer date with teh Capt'n!" Skipper teased.
"It wasn't a da-" I began, but was cut off by Skipper. "Sure it wasn't, matey." He helped me walk, as Tucker and Tom went ahead. There it was; Dianite's Temple, proudly hovering over the lava.
I felt even more nauseous just looking at it, and my feet dug into the ground, trying to prevent me from entering it. "Are you sure confronting Furia is sa-" he nodded. What if... What if I could protect Capsize now? My legs were still stiffened as we entered the temple.
In the time after she had been killed, I couldn't step foot in the temple. I walked with startling confidence as we approached, I knew that this was my chance to make things right. This was my chance to save her.
My eyes shifted from one place to another, thinking of a strategy. Everything happened as it was. Tom contradicting his loyalty to Dianite? Check. Furia (Is he/she a boy/girl? I thought he was a boy, but there is some conflict...) demanding the heart? Check.
As I listened to Skipper quarreling with Furia, my eyes soon locked on Capsize as she approached. She was stealthy, I'll give her that. But I had forgotten what, or who called her out in the first place.
"BEHIND YOU!" Tom yelled, pointing at Capsize, but Furia didn't budge. He was waiting for the right moment. I ran towards Capsize, pushing her away. "Capsize, leave!" I demanded, my eyes fierce and filled with anger and fear.
She furrowed her eyebrows at me. "And why would I do that?" She scoffed, putting one hand on her hip, the other holding her gold sword.
"Because-" Before I could respond, her eyes widened, warning me about something. I was going to look at what she was pointing at, but then a strike of pain filled my chest. I had only felt the first prick of pain, but I could see Furia's sword protruding from by stomach.
I screamed as the sword was pulled from my back. I doubled over, as blood came from my wound. Capsize screamed something, but everyone seemed to be mute. I tried to speak, but all that came out was nonsense.
Collapsing onto my side, I fixed my rapidly-dimming eyes on Capsize. So this is how it feels like... I thought, a smile forming on my face. At least I saved Capsize... I lay there for a bit, but something struck me. No, not the pain in my body.
Why wasn't I fading? Capsize faded when she was hit. My pain wasn't disappearing, nor was I dead. I was dying a slow death. Was it supposed to be Capsize after all? I could see Furia fading away to the corner of my eye, as Skipper, Tom, and Tucker charged.
The last thing I saw was Capsize, tears streaming down her face. "Come on, Jardon. Stay with us, stay with me."
Then I blacked out.
