"Had enough, mortal?" A voice rang in Jordan's head. A pang of consciousness returned to Jordan. What happened...? He thought as his eyes snapped open.
He was welcomed with pure darkness. Jordan shivered, unable to find any heat. He was lonely and cold, only aquatinted by an ominous voice. "Welcome to my realm, Ianitee."
"B-Botan..." He shuddered, hugging himself to stay warm. "What... W-what do you want from me?" The god only laughed as if that was a joke. Jordan wished he could be furious, but all he could feel was fear and sleepiness.
"You're time in this world is already up, mortal." Botan's voice echoed throughout the area. Jordan only shook his head... Or attempted to. His body felt numb and he couldn't think straight.
"No..." He whispered so quietly, that he could only hear it. I mean, who could hear him from here? Why was he here in the first place again? He wanted to smack himself in the face.
Of course. He saved Capsize. Or was that only a ruse? Was his mind only tricking him? Was Botan manipulating his dreams? He was starting to question whether or not he even existed.
"I have an offer." Botan declared after several minutes of silence. Jordan didn't want to hear it. He was sick of Botan's deals. He was sick of offers in general. He lost so much because of it.
Ianite, his old life, the Ianitas, his home, his friends... Jerry. Everyone he loved was taken from him. "I give you another chance in life..." The shadows whispered. No. That offer was onto good to be true. "But there's a catch."
Jordan saw it coming. "I will control you." Botan's voice was filled with venom and unexplainable bitterness, that it pierced through Jordan's entire being.
"N-no..." Jordan squeaked. He tried to fight Botan, but his body was aching and refused to cooperate. Don't do it, Sparklez. A familiar voice told him. He felt a sense of relief.
"You belong to me." Botan said, much louder this time. Jordan tried to retort, but couldn't speak. Suddenly Jordan felt a pang of pain. He felt like he was just hit by a truck with spikes on it.
He wanted to cry out in agony. His voice came out as a whisper. He couldn't breath. His lungs were being filled up, and his heart was slowing down. Yellow dots were intruding his line of sight.
He was dying.
He felt a hand grab his chin and yanked his face to the side. A bright light appeared. Jordan wished he felt safer, but he knew it was only getting worse.
"Why come back to those fools?" Botan scoffed. "They betrayed you. Completely forgot about you."
"N-no they h-h-haven't..." Jordan managed. Botan laughed wickedly before the bright light became an image. He closed his eyes, and when he reopened them, he was sitting at a table.
He was a few seats across from his friends. Friends. He snarled at the word. But why? He should've been relieved to see them. Perhaps Botan was getting to him. "G-guys!" He cried.
