Alexis POV

10:17 pm

I sat there looking out my car window not knowing what to do. Should I really be doing this?

Yes! Now go!

'Geeze! Don't get your knickers in a twist.'

On the contrary clothes aren't really my thing. I'm more of a nudist. No knickers here to twist sweetie.

I found myself on a familiar set of black and grey marble stairs peering up at the crisp white walls for the fourth time. I spent the whole 15 minute drive here wondering just what the hell I was planning to say when I got here. The security man at the front gate let me in without any questions with only a simple bow and smile. The 3 minute drive up the open acre pathway had me internally willing myself to go home yet still here I am.

I stretched forward my hand pressing down on the doorbell. My nerves got the better of me as I wait twiddling my fingers and tapping my right foot on the doorstep.

The door swings open what feels like it was all to quickly like the ripping of a wax strip.

'Alexis? Is everything okay?' he asked as soon as his eyes met my face.

Looking up my eyes landing on the partially naked guy before me. He was only wearing a pair of white boxers.

OMG I can't do this.

'I'm sorry I didn't mean to disturb you. I'll just go' I managed to get that much out before I felt my cheeks being squashed against his bare chest in an unexpected hug. I guess I'll be staying then...

He held me for what felt like a mere second; even though I'm certain it wasn't, before I felt a cool breeze hitting my cheeks again. Xavier took hold of my hand and led me into the living room forcing me to take a seat on the sofa next to him.

'Why'd you come so late? Are you sure you're okay??'

'I'm fine I just... I just couldn't sleep. Well I didn't want too until I apologized for earlier... I just felt really bad. Honestly it wasn't your fault. I mean I just.. I feel really lonely because my dad's gone... I mean he's always gone but I just feel lonelier now...' my little speech was cut short by a sudden roar of laughter.

I was completely taken back...

I squinted my eyes at him and I swear my nostrils flared. 'You think my problems are funny? You know, you really are a prick.' I spat venomously as I turned and started to leave the house.

I mean who does that? I was being totally serious and apparently that was the most hilarious thing of this century. He's such a...

'WOAH!'

I felt a hand around waist before my back connected with a solid object. 'Let go' I huffed, my voice dripping with disdain.

'I wasn't laughing at what you said... Well I was but only because you weren't making sense. And you had the weirdest look on your face while you were pacing'

'I did not!'

'You did. I think it was cute though.. Your constipated look I mean' I gasped at his words. Constipated?

'Why'd you have to be so mean??' that came out a little more childish than I intended.

'I'm sorry. I promise I won't do it again... Forgive me?'

'No.' I spoke looking off to the side fighting the smile that was threatening to creep onto my face.

'Pretty please with sugar on top??' he begged taking a page out of my book and giving me my classic puppy dog eyes and pouting lips.
