Xavier POV
Well Alexis was telling the truth..
I was broken out of my gaze at the grey and slightly reddish brown bird perched on my window sill. It sat majestically at my window commanding my attention only to be joined by a slightly smaller tattered version of itself. Rotating it's head towards the pounding cries of despair.. so to speak, I found myself following suit before raising from the bed and making my way downstairs.
Lexi had insisted we spent last night at the pack house. I'm guessing the cheshire grin on her face and the looks of pure resentment Jesse wore were my explanation of why.
'What did you do now? 'I was slightly exasperated when it comes the back and forth of Lexi and Jesse. I would usually just stay out of it but something tells me this would be one for the books.
I’ve never heard him scream so loud…
Jesse was still locked into an intense glare with the forehead of a rather ecstatic airy fairy Lexi whose head was tilted at a 90° angle to stare at her cornflakes.
'Nothing at all.. He's just having a bad day' Lexi finally managed an answer as she looked up to meet eyes with a cheerful Hunter entering the kitchen.
'Bad day my ass! This has you written ALL over it! ‘Jesse snapped at the sight of Hunter. He looked like the wheels in his ever so flighty head where fighting away rust and started to put two and two together. 'YOU. You're in on this huh?'
Hunter gave no reply as he took a seat across from me at the table and pulled the box of cereal towards him. Ok I'm curious. Since when did Jesse get so uptight?
'What is it man?'
'I won't know where to begin...’ He paused to take a seat at the breakfast bar opposite my mate and my brother who are still pretending to be more interested in their Cornflakes than the look of despair on poor Jesse’s face.
‘I woke up this morning and went to go take a shower only to walk into a wall of cling film and send myself flying backwards unto the bedroom floor...' he paused in between physically shaking his head of the memories clearly running through his mind 'Then I found my latest magazine subscriptions in my pigeon hole today.. Everything I need to know about being a bride, athlete’s foot, foot fungi, bad breath and vaginas!'
It made sense now. That look earlier.
He wasn't as mad as he was mortified. His arms flaring everywhere as he spoke and the physical shudder he let ride through him was enough to confirm this.
I looked over at Lexi and Hunter currently locked into fits of laughter. Do I even need to ask?
Shaking my head at the pair, I rose from the table and made my way down the hall to my office away from home. I've got some work to do.
Alexis POV
Phase one complete.
Today is going to be an amazing day. I can feel it in my fingers.
I called Chanelle and Xenara asking them to meet me at our house. That wasn't that hard considering Chase and Cole were gonna be busy helping Xavier with whatever pack work he has to get done. We were coming to the end of our final semester and I wanted to celebrate it right with the packs young people. I think they need to be recognized for all their hard work. They are going to be our next leaders, hunters and fighters.
I kissed Xavier goodbye and made my way outside to walk back to our house.. I don't know... There's just something about today.
I read online that the weather was a dramatic impact on the way humans act and feel. The sun usually brings a more cheerful side to everyone.. as long as it's not too hot. That only made me wonder if that was true, then why do I love the rain so much?
Someone asked if it fell in single drops or in shreds. Such an obvious answer yet it eluded me for years. Maybe that was a major contributing factor. Wanting to understand the unknown... that and the fact that I've always wanted to kiss under the open clouds. The way the alternating temperature of the droplets felt as they made raw contact with my awaiting flesh gripping me in an embrace of pure bliss...
There's something about the rain.

As I made my final step towards the door to our home I turned a final time to look out and the open forest floors. The perfectly lined trees bent ever so slightly over the driveway currently paved with a vast array of yellows, reds and browns. Autumn was also one of my favourite seasons.
Did I ever tell you that? I love to find the beauty in the less obvious. Autumn is the time of the year where all of the beautiful flowers and leaves withered away and as a child I always hated the way things looked so bare. So naked, raw. Now I look at it as a new beginning to even more beautiful bounties to come the following spring. I loved to guess which of the plants would grow back first and what colour they would be..
I think we should have a wooden bench set between two of these trees. I have to admit the view was throat flinchingly stunning aka a major breath taker.

'We should totally have another Full Moon Dinner. But just for the people at NDC..'
'That could work. And I was thinking we'd do the whole awards thing anything from Best hair to most hilarious.. You know like award people for their most memorable traits...'
'That's sounds great Xen, easier than planning another idea all together and what kind of awards would we give Chan? Are we talking trophies or.. ?'
'Trophies are cool... I still have mine for last year. It seems like such a small thing but it would really mean a lot to half of these people... Being remembered I mean.'
'Yeah I know. We should jot down some more detailed ideas so we can figure out or next steps.' I stood from my seat on the black leather sofas to go into the kitchen and grab some snacks. 'Anyone want anything?'
'We'll come with...' both girls sang out simultaneously before rising to their feet. Looking down at my toes I got the idea for today’s activities.
'Who's up for a mani/pedi and a quick visit to the Tattoo place next to Cindy’s salon?' I've always wanted to do this since I saw a video of Ariana Grande getting a heart tattooed on one of her toes. It was the cutest idea. The mere mention of Cindy’s name sent me back to the day of the pack dinner… The day the decided giving us sex tips was an appropriate topic to discuss while preparing meals.
'Errr.. Sure. You really think a heart on your toe is a good idea? What about the poor tattoo artist that has to touch your foot?’
I gasped at Chanelle’s horrified expression like I shouldn’t be the one who’s mortified. ‘Are you always going to be so disrespectful to your Luna?’
She merely laughed and I heard the stifled snickers Xenara tried but failed to disguise.
‘The heart is going on my ring finger you bitch.’ I fake huffed storming in the direction of the kitchen.
‘Tattoo first!' Xenara squealed as she run up behind me linking arms with Chan and doing the same to myself.
'Oh dear God.' here come the jitters.
