Part 17 Heat

Alexis POV

I'm not sure if I should tell you this.

It's funny. This whole heat thing hasn't affected me chronologically at all. I think I was in heat before Xavier marked me. I was seriously hornier then than now. The weirdest thing I swear. I think my late transition as well as my half guardian background is what completely messed the usual werewolf cycle up. It's like when I skip a period or it comes 1 week late my body just goes so out of whack.

The whole tub scene got a little out of control. That extra wiggle of mine is what sealed the deal I think.

'Do what?' I asked innocently leaning back unto his chest. I wiggled again just for the sheer fun of it all. I wish I hadn't though.

Someone got a little too excited.

'That. I want you so bad, don't tease Me.' he growled against my neck and suddenly the mood in the bathroom shifted to a much more sensual one.

I breathed out as I felt his teeth graze my neck in the exact same spot he had bitten down 2 months earlier when marking me as his. He took this opportunity to lick and kiss my neck. He knew just what he was doing to drive me insane.

I shuddered under him as waves of thrills swept through me.

His hands ran over my breasts and down my toned stomach. I sucked in a breath, arching my back slightly my hand gripped unto the edge of the tub when his intentions became known.

I moaned as the pleasure shot through me. My breaths became shorter my hand gripping onto the tub even tighter than before.

'Oh' I internalized as I sucked in another sharp breath of air.

How is he doing this to me?

My toes were curling at this point. He lifted me resting me on his lap after turning me to face him. He buried his face in my bosom as he slipped his hand back down to my aching lowers to finish the job.

I wrapped my arms around Xavier's back as I rode the wave of ecstasy. He pulled back smirking at me when it was over. I was so embarrassed. I'm not sure what was more embarrassing to me. What we had just done, or my moans that kept replaying themselves in my head.

He lifted me with him out of the tub with my legs still wrapped around his waist. He grabbed our towels as he carried me back into our room sitting on the bed placing a towel around me.

'What was that about?' I asked finally breaking the silence between us.

'I don't know what you mean.' he said peppering kisses along my collar bone.

Sneaky. I know he's smiling hard right now.

We had gone out for dinner just to take our mind of things and to relax. While recounting the events of this morning Xavier was busy ranting and throwing curse words about his parents in his head. I don't see what he's going do about it. 

His parents behaved like a bunch of childhood bullies that night in my opinion. But still, they're his parents.

'They're not my parents. My parents are dead and quite frankly after that display the other day they certainly don't make worthy replacements.' I must have left my barrier down again.

'Xav they're still your parents. One mistake can't erase the past 15+ years they've spent raising you correctly.'

'One mistake can cost dozens of lives. I told you this before! Stop defending them.'

'I'm not..'

'You are!' he spat before I could even finish my trail of thought.

Silence rested between us.

'Well then. Dinner was lovely. Lets go home now.' I said standing to my feet and walking out the door of the little diner. I turned to wave at the owners before I walked over to Xavier's car and waited for him to catch up.

I'd met quite a few nice people here that I didn't know existed before Xavier. The owner of the diner is an elderly man named Mike and his wife Fran. I fell in love with it within minutes of being there. They had such warm personalities and they made you feel like you were family visiting them at home. Xenara had a part time job here and funny enough she was our server for the day.

The ride back to the house was silent. He was obviously overthinking things as usual. When I turned to open the door he set the locks so I couldn't get out. I looked back at him warily.

'I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you.'

'I know Xav. We all have our moments.' I giggled at his almost stressed out expression. Seriously what's the big deal? We both know i'm a werewolf so his parents are wrong. That's the end of it.

'Still doesn't make it right though..' he trailed off looking out of the windscreen and at the Beta approaching the car.

'Don't worry babe.' I kissed his lips briefly and he unlocked the doors to let us out.

'Hi Cole!' I chirped at him as I ran up the stairs leaving them alone. Whatever it is, I don't want to know.

Xavier POV

'Seriously? Dude why didn't you call me as soon as you heard?'

'Because Xavier, I'm Beta. I can handle a little research don't you think?' he punched me playfully in my arm as we walked up the stairs and down the hall to my office.

'We should go down and see those rogues again today.' I took my seat at my desk punching in the number for Alpha Caine.

'Xavier. What a surprise.' came the voice down the phone. I switched it to speaker so Cole could hear too before I responded to him.

'Why didn't you call me Caine.' I said nonchalantly in response to his easy breezy attitude.

'I don't know what you mean.'

'Cut the crap. We already know what happened.'

'Oh...' was all he could say in his defense.

Black Night had just attacked his pack. Caine's pack was a close alliance to my father's when it was still in existence. If he had called we would have deployed up there to defend him and his men. But he kept it from me. Crazy son of a bitch. I didn't think he even had the man power to fight the way they did. They wiped out pretty much everyone from Black Night minus the conniving Alpha and his 3 beta men.

Men, women and children. According to our laws it had to be done. If one entire packs leadership goes bad so do the people under their command. Wiping out the leaders wouldn't be enough to stop them uprising again.

'How many?' I asked. This type of thing is just so sad.

'About 393 people in total. 17 of mine are gone 29 wounded.'

'That's a good outcome for you considering the facts. Well done Alpha Caine.'

'Thank you.'

'Don't you do such dumb shit again. I need you and your people around. Call me next time bro!'

'Alright alright jheeze'

'Now what about your prisoners Caine?'

'I haven't decided what to do with them just yet. I was gonna ask you but you beat me to it.'

'I have an idea' Cole said breaking his silence.

This such be interesting.
