James POV*
I woke up to Dan and Jordan standing over me.
"Why are you watching me sleep?" I asked in a sleepy voice. No one said anything for a second, until Jordan spoke up.
"Come downstairs. We need to talk to you guys," he said with a sad tone in his voice. "It's important." I nodded and they both left the room, leaving me to my thoughts.

The first thing I thought about, was Aleks. I turned my head to see Aleks sleeping peacefully. I sat up on the bed and moved the hair out of his face so I could see him better.

He had the perfect sleeping face. I ran my hand through his wavy brunette hair, making him shuffle a little closer to me. I laid back down next to him and stared at the ceiling. I don't want to get up.

I thought for a second, but then slowly sat up, getting out of bed. I went to my dresser and got out a grey t-shirt. I slipped off my dirty shirt and tossed it on the floor. I turned around towards the bed to see Aleks awake, staring at my bare chest. He turned his head away, a pink tint coming to his cheeks.

I quickly put my clean shirt on and walked over to his side of the bed.
"Good morning bed head," I said. His hair was a mess, strands going here and there.
"Good morning James," he yawned. I smiled at him.
"Come on, get up. Jordan came in and said he had something important to tell us," I told him.

A worried look came upon his face.
"Why?" He asked me. "What happened?" I shook my head.
"I'm not sure, all I know is that Jordan didn't look happy when he came up here."

Aleks slowly sat up and rested his back against the headboard of my bed. He took in a long breath, and stared at a spot in the room. I sighed and walked out of my room, and down the stairs, leaving Aleks alone in my room.

Everyone was up and in the living room, no smiles found on anyone's faces. Jordan motioned me to sit down on the couch. Aleks walked down the stairs from my room, came into the living room, and sat next to me. Jordan stood in front of everyone so we could hear him better.

"I have some unfortunate news," he began, looking to the ground. "I was watching the news this morning, none of you were up. The lady came on the TV screen," he said. I could tell he was shivering by the way his voice shook. What happened? What's wrong?

Aleks' POV*
"She um..said that we are going to get picked up around 3 o'clock today to get transported," Jordan shook. Great... Just fucking great.

I looked over at James who was looking at me with a blank face. I tried my best to smile, but it didn't seem to help. He just turned his head, and looked at the floor. My heart hurt to see James upset or sad. It hurt me because I know I can't to anything to help him, I don't even know if I try as much as I actually could.

I scooted closer to him, and put my hand on his shoulder.
"James it's ok. We ar-"
"No Aleks, it's not ok!" He yelled, making everyone look at him. He looked around at everyone, then looked back at me.
"Come talk to me in private," he said, and stormed upstairs to his room.

I looked at Jordan who nodded, and I got up, heading to James' room. I opened his door slowly, creating a creaking noise as it inched forward. James was sitting on his bed, his head in his hands.

I started to walk towards him until he lifted his head up, showing his eyes full of tears.
"You don't understand Aleksandr, you just don't understand," he said quietly. I walked over to him and kneeled down in front of him.
"What don't I get?" I asked. "James I don't un-"
"I'm trying to protect you Aleks, and the government keeps fucking everything up!" He yelled.

I stood up, and sat next to him on the bed. He put his head back in his hands.
"I'm trying to protect you to James. I don't want to see you get hurt, but if you keep thinking about the bad things, your not going to get anywhere," I said in a soft voice.

He shook his head in his hands.
"It's not that easy Aleksandr," he said in a muffled voice. I put my hand on his shoulder.
"James, look at me please." He lifted up his head slightly so I could see his brown eyes sparkling. I smiled at him.
"Don't think about it. I don't want you to worry about me," I reassured him. He smiled at me
"I won't think about it for now, but I'm still going to worry about you," he said.

I patted his shoulder, and got up.
"Aleks?" He said which made me pause. I turned around slightly.
"Yeah?" I asked. He patted the spot next to him.
"It's 1:30. We have to leave in about an hour and thirty minutes. Stay with me until then?" He pleaded. I motioned around the room.
"What are we going to do?" I asked him. "Play charades?" A smile came across his face.
"Why not?" He laughed. I smiled at that.

Yeah, why not spend the last moments of my peaceful life with the one I want to protect, with the one I love...
