"So, he's basically the equivalent of satan" Dylan mumbled.

"Basically..."

"Well, we're now officially screwed!" He threw his hands up in defeat.

"You're never getting screwed Smith" chuckled Toby, sitting at the end of the lunch table.

"What are you doing h- what is he doing here!?" He hissed to me. I shrugged and looked over to see Lydia putting down her tray next to her boyfriend.

"What are you two talking about?" She asked, patronisingly.

"Uh, I have a catch up test in Chemistry and Scott was... Explaining those little balls around the ato-" he started.

"An electron" Lydia cut him off, twirling her hair around her finger.

"How did you..."

Lydia snapped out of her faze and giggled nervously, looking at Toby who had a confused frown on his face.

"I mean, I think they're electrons, maybe I heard it in an ad for my hair" she replied quickly, before throwing a glance to someone behind me. "Allison!" She cooed. I turned my head to see the gorgeous brunette put down her tray and sit in the empty chair next to me. She mouthed a 'hey' to her best friend and kissed me on the cheek, which made me forget slightly about Lydia's sudden mental mood swing.

"So are you two like a thing now?" Toby grunted, pointing his fork at Allison and I. Allison gave me a quick, questioning glance as if I was supposed to answer.

"Y-yeah... I guess" I stuttered.

"Well you two apparently had some one on one action after the club so..." Lydia smirked.

"That was said in confidentiality" Allison hissed, resting her hand softly on my wrist.

"One: it's not my fault you told me. Two: you should know that I like to give out information about you. Three: Scott obviously told Dylan too even though they've only been best friends for like a week. Four: we've been best friends since kindergarten so I know everything. And five: we all know you're insatiable when it comes to... Him" she explained, eyeing me.

"Insatiable?" I asked nervously, giving Allison a confused glance as she squirmed slightly in her seat.

"Lydia's just being her usual self" she replied, deliberately not answering the question. "You excited for the game against Whittemore" she changed the subject.

"T-totally... Uh, fun..." I mumbled. Dylan kicked me under the table as a sign that I shouldn't pass out.

"Every year they come, every year they beat us" Toby said matter-of-factly.

"But they lost that really good player, didn't they?" Lydia pointed out. I shrunk back into my chair at the sound of my apparent title 'that really good player'.

"They had two, and they were practically the same body, I don't think they ever dropped a pass from each other" he sighed, chucking a French fry back into his bowl, like he'd lost the will to live.

"Well that sounds really interesting Toby" Dylan nodded sarcastically, earning a death stare from him, "but Scott really needs to go through those Biology test notes wi-"

"I thought it was Chemistry?" Lydia raised an eyebrow suspiciously.

"I said Chemistry!"

"No, you s-"

"Same things!" Dylan jumped out of his seat and came round to pull me up with him. The three others were obviously shocked and mildly disturbed by the sudden rush from him.

"Uh Scott?" Allison stopped me.

"Uh huh?"

"We have English together and I really don't get anything that the teacher was trying to explain. Do you think you could come over to my place later and help me study? My parents are out" she asked trying to make it subtle so Lydia wouldn't make a big deal out of it, however, I still felt the oddly pleasurable knot in my stomach, like the butterflies that were supposed to be fluttering or whatever were just going out with full blown madness.

"Sure, I'll come by at like six" I nodded, still being dragged away by Dylan.

"Insatiable" Lydia muttered again.
