"Hey beautiful" I smiled, kissing Allison softly as she climbed into my car before school.
"Hey" she grinned, "I missed you"
"It's only been twenty four hours"
"Felt like years" she shrugged.
"Well it's a good thing we are stuck in class together"
Her hands found their way around my neck as she pulled me closer, planting a quick kiss on my cheek.
"And we have all the janitor closets and empty classrooms we could possibly want"
"I could totally handle that"
"Plus, Lydia and I went shopping yesterday"
I smiled slightly, recalling the near death experience that occurred when Dylan managed to fall face first on the floor. The guy was clumsy but I was so glad he reminded me to wear a hood. As happy as Allison is to see me now, I don't think she would've been okay with me climbing a wall of clothes just to hear what she was saying about me.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah, now I think about it, these two guys practically fell down the escalator as they were trying to run away from something"
"Huh... Weird" I shrugged.
"They must of been some kids from the elementary school, a prank or something" she sighed.
"Prank sounds good to me" I gulped, earning an odd look from my girlfriend.
"You know you're strange right?" she smiled.
"Uh... Yes, yes I do"
"And I love it"
"Well, I love you" I replied.
"I love you more"
"I love you most" I grinned, "Beat that"
"I already won" she pressed her lips onto mine and kissed me deeply, pulling me across the seat till I was over her. Suddenly there was a knock on the door and we sprung apart.
"Sup Sco- Oh, right, sorry Scott, I just wanted to check you were coming" Dylan chuckled nervously, "Hey Allison"
"Hey Dylan" Allison bit her lip, getting out of the car, along with me.
"No, don't stop on my count" he shrugged. His black eye had got a lot better over the night, it made me feel slightly better about causing it. It didn't seem to bother him though, he explicitly said 'chicks dig it'. I'm not sure what chicks he was talking about, but I've decided it's better to let him think what he wants.
"Hey guys" Lydia chirped, strutting towards us, "Did you hear about the party?"
"Oh yeah" Dylan grinned, "Illuminated right?"
"Illuminated?" I asked, raising my eyebrow.
"Basically this old senior Peter Hale, is throwing a huge party on Friday" Dylan explained, "It's called Illuminated"
"You have to have a date and once you get their they have to paint you and everything" Lydia shrugged.
"Paint?"
"The paint glows in the dark dumbass" Lydia groaned at me, "It's a glow in the dark kind of rave, loud music, all that stuff"
"I kinda forgot that was even happening" Allison shrugged, intwining her fingers with mine.
"Well it will be totally awesome" Dylan beamed, "Scott, you and Allison should go together"
I looked down at Allison for confirmation. Parties weren't really my thing anymore, but it wouldn't hurt to get to paint my girlfriend, right? "You wanna go?"
"It doesn't really bother me, but we can go if you want" she shrugged, "As long as were together"
"God, you two look like you walked straight out of a Nicholas Sparks book" Lydia cut in angrily, "You're both coming, and you" she pointed at Allison, "You're helping me find the perfect date"
"Lyds, what about Toby? Your boyfriend" Allison pointed out.
"Don't mention his name" Lydia growled, "We broke up last night"
"You broke up last week, and the week before that as well"
"Allison, not all of us can have a semi-normal relationships" Lydia shrugged, "And if I'm gonna make him jealous I need to go to Illuminated with someone that will piss him off"
Piss him off?
"Any guy at this school would suffice" Allison sighed.
"I don't just want any guy, I need someone who doesn't pray to Toby like he's some kind of lacrosse god, I need someone who is willing to go up against that neanderthal just to go on a date with me" Lydia explained, scouting the crowds like a vulture looking for food.
"You want to mess with Toby...?" I asked curiously, flashing a glance at Dylan who was just staring at Lydia passively.
"That is what I literally just said"
"I may have an idea then" I shrugged.
"No thanks Scotty, I'm not into threesomes"
"Not with me" I scowled, "With Dylan"
"What the hell is a 'Dylan" she sighed as my best friend leapt into action.
"I Dylan, I mean, Dylan is I, he is me" Dylan stuttered frantically as Lydia looked him up and down suspiciously.
"Fine, pick me up at eight, don't be early, don't be late, and for the love of god, don't wear orange" she said bluntly.
"Wait what?" Dylan mumbled.
"Do you want to go with me, or not?"
"Oh, yeah, of course, totally, yes, one hundred percent" Dylan nodded rapidly.
"Great" she shrugged, "Call me"
"O-okay"
Lydia shot me a quick smirk before blowing Dylan a kiss and strolling off to her friends who were calling her over. As soon as she was gone Dylan threw his fist in the air and whooped.
"Guess who scored a date with the Lydia Roden, I DID!" he laughed before throwing his arms around me in a bear hug, "You are the best dude!"
"Nah, you're technically the one who's going out with her, so you're the best" I shrugged as he kept leaping around the parking lot like some thirteen year old getting high for the first time.
"I think you made his day" Allison giggled, kissing my cheek gently.
"I made his week" I smiled.
"Yeah... Are you sure you wanna go to this party? I know how it can be a bad re-"
I cut her off with a soft kiss, "New start remember, I can't get over things unless I do them, and I'd want to do them with you"
"Sounds perfect, but you do realise I'm going to make you take off your top so I can paint you" she smirked.
"I have realised that" I nodded, "But only if I can take off yours"
"A compromise? I can do that"
"Good" I shrugged, "Now, we have a certain english lesson with a certain crazy teacher, so we should probably go"
